I've heard this one before. We'll see. But wouldn't you call doing nothing for 45 years doesn't represent making this a priority?Irony meter breaks.
Neil Gorsuch was confirmed by the Senate today.
I think they are doing something about it.

I'm not fighting them. I'm exposing them for the hypocrites they are. The GOP gave us Roe vs. Wade and haven't done anything since then. This has been a very good political move but has done nothing to change the law.As long as people like you fight the pro-life agenda, it'll take some time. I'm not going to fault Republicans for trying. I am going to fault you for turning your back on the unborn and fighting progress at every turn.
Actually, it's a simple lie.Uh no that is the extreme far left's approach.

---InTheLight said:I've probably posted at least a half dozen times in direct response to you that GOP state legislatures have been making great progress in the past 10 years or so restricting abortions, but you continually ignore it. I know Revmitchell has posted the same thing to you many times. So you've been told at least 10 times that states are doing something about abortion but you cling to your mistaken view that the "GOP has done nothing for 45 years on abortion."
I agree. After 85 years since the '29 crash and the following depression we need to look back and recognize that the Church simply can't meet all the needs of the poor in America. They can't even match just Obamacare. So everyone who makes the argument that only the Church should be allowed to help the poor just doesn't really care about them. They'd like to see them die and thereby quit making demands on the taxpayers precious tax money which of course must go to increase our already bloated military. There are serious questions about where trillions of Pentagon funding have been spent. We need an outside audit of the Pentagon NOW.Here's some American history.
Why do the social safety net programs exist?
Because every time we had an economic crisis the charitable minded and the churches failed to meet the needs. FAILED
The churches and the charitably minded often denied aid to minorities because they were racists. Some refused to give assistance to women because a woman who wasn't in danger of starving might choose to remain single and single women are scary because they might have sex anyway (never mind the illogic, a starving woman with no marriage prospects is a prime candidate to become a mistress or prostitute). Other charities refused to give more than enough food for the day lest they become lazy and not line up every day for their survival rations (which of course precluded seeking work).
The people of America said ENOUGH. The idea of pure charity meeting the need is ridiculous and let's not forget that the Old Testament model wasn't one tithe but several different tithes that religious government used to enforce charity.
BOGUSNothing about this post is true.
The Bible never mentioned nuclear weapons, democracy, space travel, assembly lines,.... Jesus summarized the commandments as meaning love for God and love for our neighbor. In what way do you think letting people die when we could stop that is Biblical? The Bible, or Christ never mentioned health insurance. I don't mind the insurance industry, but you're speaking of it as if it's biblical. It is not, and it's not the most efficient use of funds, especially if the government is involved.

Read the parable of the Good Samaritan.I would rephrase this question: In what way do you think letting people die when we could stop that is Biblical? Substitute “MAKING” for LETTING!!!!! You answer this version.
Guess it’s sorta hard to use reason with your head stuck in a non-lighted locale!?!?!?

I gave my heart to Jesus. How many people who needs a heart transplant who could use your heart but you did nothing about have you offered your heart to?
I gave my heart to Jesus.
