I think most millennial would see right through it. It more seems aimed at the people that were around when Late Great Planet Earth came out based on the people on my Facebook feed that talk about the book.A friend has asked me to read it. As he describes it, I am quite reluctant.
Reminds me of the Late Great Planet Earth, only for the millennials.

The Millennial need the Gospel just like every other generation, they don't need a bunch of mystical nonsenses that can be debunked as all the rapture predictions on my Facebook feed proved.Deacon, as the old saying goes..., You can't judge a book by its cover. I can imagine that it is in fact for the millennials. I can also imagine that most churches would enjoy reaching out to the millennials so I can't see a problem with that.
...by Jonathan Cahn. Have you read the book yet? If not, may I recommend it.
Well, that kinda sums it all up then.
(The book is only for millennial's; but the millennial's would see right through it; some guy wants to ADD it as another book to the Bible – someone should show this guy (Rev 22:18); and finally, I flat out don't recommend it.)
I've read the book, watched the DVD, and have done some further research on the Internet. Additionally, our church has done a Bible study based on the book/dvd.
So let me ask you all this. If this book touched the heart of one lost and dying individual on their way to hell and it caused them to come to the saving knowledge of Jesus..., would it be worth it?
At two separate times, members have dropped off this book at my office with a note encouraging me to read it. Both times, the book has been placed in a closet where other books and resources like this go (after despatching a kind thank you note.)
It isn't a good book, it doesn't help us, and it is more of the same foolishness we've been seeing for some time now. I have no interest in these things. So I don't recommend the book either.
The book won't help anyone. Okay. Got it.
I heard many years ago of a "fly" that caused a young man to get saved. It was at a Tent Meeting many decades ago. This young man went simply to mock the service and to make his point, sat there with his hands over his ears. Then came the fly. He ended up spending so much time swatting the fly from his face that he heard enough of the Word that he became convicted. Truth or fiction? I don't know..., but it was told in a revival meeting at our local church.
To be honest with you I just can't seem to grasp the thought of our Heavenly Father being relegated to such a narrow avenue for opportunities when He decides to call the lost for repentance.
Oh well. You win some, you lose some and some get rained out.
To be honest with you "blessedwife318, et.al" I am not really trying to do anything here. I just recommended the book as I considered it a good read. Throwing hypothetical at you? No and I'll sleep good tonight whether you read the book or not. A few years ago I read the book "Martian Chronicles" and considered it a good read. Spiritual? No..., it was just science fiction but if you don't like The Harbinger..., don't read the book..., but don't waste your time trying to tell me the book is trash as what works for me and what works for you is two different things.
What I am being told here, in short, is that you all are smart and I'm stupid. So, if that floats your boat then so be it. Now, if you don't mind I'll finish the last few chapters and be on my way. You all have a good day, ya' hear?
Was there a compliment in there somewhere? BiggrinIt's not often you have something of value to contribute to a thread but on this topic we agree.
