The Ideal Translation Effort

Ghost meant back in 1611 what Spirit does to us today, and we should always translate Him as Spirit, as Ghost connotes dead people and casper to us today
I agree that today it is far more accurate to translate it as "Spirit." It's like so many words in the KJV, where "prevent" means "go before," "carriages" means "equipment," and so on.
