Back to the OP,

C.H. Spurgeon on that parable (sermon of August 1, 1858):

" 'No', says one strong-doctrine man, 'God never invites all men to himself; he invites none but certain characters.' Stop, sir, that is all you know about it. Did you ever read that parable where it is said, 'My oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage'. And they that were bidden would not come. And did you never read that they all began to make excuse, and that they were punished because they did not accept the invitations. Now, if the invitation is not to be made to anybody, but to the man who will accept it, how can that parable be true? The fact is, the oxen and fatlings are killed; the wedding feast is ready, and the trumpet sounds, 'Ho every one that thirsteth, come and eat, come and drink'. Here are the provisions spread, here is an all-sufficiency; the invitation is free; it is a great invitation without limitation. 'Whosoever will, let him come and take of the water of life freely'."
Whosoever wills would be those to whom God had granted ears to hear!

Most of what you post on BB is games
Actually SBG I have been trying to discuss Scripture with you. Instead, you throw ad hominem attacks and Red Herrings and hardly ever actually deal with the arguments that are presented to you. I want to faithfully handle the Word of God and that is what I seek and strive to do.

I have shown you in the Acts passage that it has nothing to do with individuals. I have shown you in Romans 3 that nobody in their natural state seek after God. You ignore these facts to push your theological agenda. That is your prerogative but it does not make you right, nor does it mean you are faithful to what Scripture actually says.

No need to make more of this verse than its intended message, the unsaved are all under sin. Full Stop
Except that is not the extent of its intended message. It goes way beyond just saying we are all under sin. It gives ramifications of being under sin.

How can you say that the chapter in Acts is not about individuals? Peter was sent by God with a Message for an Individual for his salvation. Peter says that God is not a respecter of persons, etc. You are trying to apply your own theology to it

We agree that no sinner can ever repent and believe in and of themselves.
We agree that the Holy Spirit must first convict them.
Which person's does the Holy Spirit choose to convict and which ones does the Holy Spirit choose not to convict?

Bump. I presume sbw has me on ignore. Still, I wonder who he thinks the Holy Spirit chooses to convict and not to convict since no sinner can ever repent and believe of themselves.
Does he not see that he believes in election all the while he has been railing against it?

And this is where the King James fails you. You need to learn what the phrase "respecter of persons" means. It's nothing to do with individuals. It merely means God doesn't show partiality. And in the greater context, which you again are ignoring, that is he is not showing partiality between Jew and Gentile.

Right the unstated ramifications declare Calvinism is as bogus as a three dollar bill. Reading into scripture unstated ramifications is like finding abortion rights in the 14th Amendment.

What unstated ramification? It says that none seek after God. That is what it says.

Exactly!... Show me a dead man seeking after God?... Brother Glen:)

Ephesians 2:1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins:

2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

2:3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

And here's another one, same thought different verse!

John 5:25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.

5:26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;

5:27 And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.

These are both regeneration verses, no one seeks God until they're born again... Here's the resurrection verses

John 5:28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,

5:29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
