DO YOU WANT GODS HOLY SPIRIT
JOHN 14 [15] If ye love me, KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS.[16] And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;[17] Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

HAS HEAVEN AND EARTH PASSED – YIKES! WHAT AM I STANDING ON?
MATT.5 [17] Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.[18] For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

No Yeshua1,
Lets just take a look at Galatians. The book of Galatians is a book containing 6 very short chapters. In these 6 chapters circumcision is mentioned 16 times. The commandments are not mentioned at all. Not once. Yet, those people that wish to do away with GODS commandments use scriptures from Galatians to try and do so. The law of circumcism is one of the carnal ordinances of the law that were nailed to the cross. Those that wish to do away with Gods 10 commandments will also try and tell you that the ordinances and the ten commandments are simply parts of the law and are not separate from one another. In saying that they will point to a scripture thats speaking of circumcision and then apply that scripture to Gods 10 commandments. This is done to extreme in the book of Galatians.

Go back and study the Book of Galatians. It is about those who bring another gospel, such as you. It condemns the keeping of the law such as the sabbath. The sabbath and circumcision were nailed to the cross.

Exodus 31:16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.
17 It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

The sabbath was never for the Gentiles. It was, is, and always has been a sign between Jehovah and Israel, and their generations forever. If you break the sabbath, the penalty is death. Read this chapter carefully. You don't keep the Sabbath; neither are you a Jew. The sabbath was never given to gentile believers.

The Book of Galatians condemns those who would force the law on the Galatian believers. They are called Judaizers. They brought "another gospel," and in Gal.1:8 they are called "accursed."

Yes; but not through the Law; but through that Jesus Christ rose from the dead on it.

The Sunday believers claimed Christ's Resurrection for their Sunday observance; THEY KNEW NOTHING ELSE WOULD DO!

They were clever and wide awake while the Seventh Day Sabbath believers were too wise in their own eyes, fast asleep and terribly and incredibly STUPID ---typical 'Laodecean'!

The Christians were actually givin many warnings about the bad guys and what they would do. The warnings are all around the new testament.

1 PETER 5 [8] Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a ROARING LION, walketh about, SEEKING WHOM HE MAY DEVOUR:

Watch out for these roaring lions!

MATT.7 [14] Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.[15] Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are RAVENING WOLVES.

Beware of false these prophets. They are RAVENING WOLVES. Also implied here is that “the many” will follow these false prophets and but a few will take the way of life.

ACTS 20 [29] For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous WOLVES ENTER IN among you, not sparing the flock.[30] Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, TO DRAW AWAY DISCIPLES after them.

The GRIEVOUS WOLVES were there from the beginning

EPH.4 [17] This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth WALK NOT AS OTHER GENTILES walk, in the VANITY of their mind,[18] Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:[19] Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all UNCLEANNESS with GREEDINESS.

Well, I found all these warnings from the new testament in one scripture. The Day of the Lord scriptures are so great. Since “that day” has not yet arrived no one can claim that the scripture is for ancient Israel and does not apply to christians. Day of the Lord scriptures do apply to christians (those who believe that Jesus came) and these scriptures will come to pass. To see what these ROARING LIONS and RAVENOUS WOLVES have done, simply read and believe the Word.

EZEK.22 [23] And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,[24] Son of man, say unto her, Thou art the land that is not cleansed, nor rained upon in the day of indignation.[25] There is A CONSPIRACY OF HER PROPHETS in the midst thereof, like a ROARING LION ravening the prey; THEY HAVE DEVOURED SOULS; they have taken the treasure and precious things; they have made her many widows in the midst thereof.[26] HER PRIESTS HAVE VIOLATED MY LAW, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the UNCLEAN AND THE CLEAN, and HAVE HID THEIR EYES FROM MY SABBATHS, and I am profaned among them.[27] Her princes in the midst thereof are like WOLVES RAVENING THE PREY, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get DISHONEST GAIN.[28] And her prophets have daubed them with untempered morter, SEEING VANITY, and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus saith the Lord GOD, when the LORD hath not spoken

A conspiracy of the prophets. HID THEIR EYES FROM MY SABBATHS! They meant to do it and they sure did pull it off despite the warnings

Go back and study the Book of Galatians. It is about those who bring another gospel, such as you. It condemns the keeping of the law such as the sabbath. The sabbath and circumcision were nailed to the cross.

You twist the Scriptures and take it out of context. That is against and breaking the New Testament Christian LAW for gentiles like you and me.

And let me put it straight, not only <The sabbath and circumcision were nailed to the cross.> "The Greatest of all" Law was nailed to the cross, and "hanging on" from that "Greatest Law", hang the Sabbath and circumcision's laws. In fact they were not merely hanging onto "The Greatest Law"; they were contained in it ---in HIM "The Greatest Law" "The ALL in all FULFILLING FULLNESS OF GOD".

So I am glad to know the Sabbath Seventh Day under the Law is gone forever, abolished and annihilated in and through and by and AS: JESUS CHRIST THE WORD OF GOD CRUCIFIED AND KILLED FOR MY SINS. And I am glad He rose from the grave again and that for a fact 'soos 'n koei' in my tongue "Jesus gave them Rest ---Himself--- and that THEREFORE their observance of the Sabbath is still authentic and remains VALID FOR THE PEOPLE OF GOD ---HE, JESUS, having entered in into his own Rest AS GOD IN HIS OWN."

So, gracious DHK, thanks for allowing me to say these things to you and for you on your forum board, from my heart in all sincerity. God reward you.

Yeah Alcott me either although there are many who think the commandments are a heavy burden

Yes the commandments are an impossible heavy burden to carry. We must hang them on Christ Crucified and let Him carry them for us and GET RID OF THEM for us. This is the secret of Christian happiness.

But man does not like - what love - God's grace and freedom which Christ wrought for him. So he argues, I'll let Christ free me of the Law, then I'll make my own! Howzat! So man lifts himself onto higher ground by his shoestrings and Voila, a much better day in seven than the Seventh in the lord and princess of days, the day of the lord Sun. Yak! the double life hermaphrodite ... disgusting!

paul warned us about the Wolves that would sooncome in among the flock, such as yourself, who try to place the saved unde the burden and yoke of the Law, as peter said, not even the jews could do that, so how we expect the gentiles to keep which the jews could not?

Adrressed as a reply to post # 148!

Yeah Alcott me either although there are many who think the commandments are a heavy burden

But apparently Christians do not view the Commandments as a heavy burden according to John - 1John 5:2-3

2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.

Even Sunday promoting Bible teachers like D.L. Moody and C.H. Spurgeon appear to get this obvious Bible teaching in favor of the Ten Commandments.

Makes us wonder who is it that put the "limit on God".

As if He could not go beyond the number 10.

in Christ,

Bob
Your answer makes no sense.
I believe the number is 613, and it refers to the OT, but I think you know that. The unverified 1050 is irrelevant.
God put a limit on "10" when he handed them to Moses, written with his own hand, on two tablets made of stone. There were not nine, and not eleven, but ten.
However, in the rest of the law were far more than just ten. All together there was 613. God put it there. And God limited the revelation that he gave to man to 613 in the law of the OT. Keep things in context and don't throw in red herrings.
There are also commands given in the Koran. But like the NT, it wasn't written yet. Both then are irrelevant.

Some will argue that the scriptures used by NT authors (the OT) are irrelevant - or that the 1050 commandments listed IN THE NT - as we saw when we clicked on this link
http://www.cai.org/bible-studies/1050-new-testament-commands
and read the actual NT texts listed .
It is a Charismatic website which believes that the evidence of being baptized by the Spirit is speaking in tongues. It believes all the gifts of the Spirit are for today. The list given is very inaccurate. Its doctrine is at variance to our doctrine. These commands are not the only commands of the NT, neither are they all commands taken in proper context or applicable to us today.

Besides that, you have lost your way. By giving such an answer as that it is evident that you don't know anymore the context of the discussion, how it began, in what context the "613" were mentioned.

EXODUS 24 [12] And the Lord said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, AND a law, AND commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.

We can see that the law AND the ten commandments are separate. They are not lumped into 600 plus commandments called the law as the "many" claim. The reason they make this claim is to point to one liners which are usually talking about the law of circumcision and apply that one liner to the ten commandments.

It is a Charismatic website which believes that the evidence of being baptized by the Spirit is speaking in tongues.

I do not believe everything Charismatics suggest, or that Catholics suggest or that D.L. Moody suggested.

But that does not mean I must ignore them even in cases where they have Bible support for one of their statements.

I think we can all see that point clearly.

in Christ,

Bob

No it is not seen clearly.
Absurd claim: "There are 1050 commands in the NT.
Is 1Cor.14:40 a command for us today: "Forbid not to speak in tongues."
No it is not. Yet the Charismatics say it is.
Command: The women must be silent in the church.
If a women does not wear a head covering she must be shaven.
If your hand offend you cut it off.
Be perfect as I am perfect.

Do you keep all these commands, and is your interpretation of them the same as the Charismatics? Are all of these commands part of the 1050? They all are commands.

No it is not seen clearly.

Ok so there is a hold out on that obvious fact. Free will again I suppose.

Absurd claim: "There are 1050 commands in the NT.
Until you actually read the list.

Is 1Cor.14:40 a command for us today: "Forbid not to speak in tongues."
No it is not.
I guess it depends on your dedication to contradict the Word of God.

Free will again.

In any case -- for your methods and practices here on this subject to "Work" you would have had to wittle that list down from 1050 to something below 603 so that you could argue that the OT with 603 was going beyond whatever limit you suppose to be set for God in the NT as compared to the OT.

in Christ,

Bob
