Wisconsin company holds 'chip party' to microchip workers

If any of you have been watching the news as I watch NBC News almost daily I saw a story of a company in Wisconsin being the first in the US to microchip their employees! Chipping the employees is optional, but there will come a day when it will be mandatory for everyone, small and great, rich, and poor according to the Bible. No one will be able to buy or sell without the mark which will be 666. Eventually we will be a cashless society, and I imagine one day that even Credit Cards will be absolete in favor of scanning technology which is currently utilized in Apple Pay which can be used on a iPhone or apple watch. I use it all the time as I can pay for transactions quickly which my watch with some retailers.

[Name calling edited] biblical prophecy is being fulfilled right before your eyes! Do you still not believe?

Except biblically this mark is one of a spiritual nature and not technology itself, regardless how it is manifested (or even if it is a literal "mark").

Wrong. If someone cannot buy and sell without the Mark then it needs to be physical and visible, or to be able to be detected with a scanner.

WRONG!

You are missing the point....again.

And no, it doesn't have to be a visible mark (it could be a matter of allegiance...similar to the Roman persecutions against those who would not worship false gods).

Wrong. Have you ever read anything by Tim Lahaye? Besides what he says the text makes it clear that someone has to have the mark to buy or sell and this indicates a visible mark. If your theory was correct people would lie all the time to buy food.

Yes, I have read Tim Lahaye. My "theory" is not a theory - it is what Scripture says. Those people worshipped the dragon and the beast who made war with the saints. You are interpreting scripture through your culture (and, granted, this technology could be a method).

I am not saying this couldn't be the case. But it D. A. Carson's interpretation could also be correct (that this is not necessarily a visible mark but an allegiance). And the point of passage is not some microchip but the war between the Beast and the saints. No one will receive the mark but those who reject God.

You do understand what went on during the Roman persecutions don't you?

Exactly. What the OP is focusing on is a method, not the source. Or, to put it another way, a symptom, and not the disease.

The most that can be said is that it might be a fulfillment, but none of us know for sure until it happens!

We adopted a dog two weeks ago from the animal shelter. He has a microchip. Just saying...

Exactly.

I do believe that there will be a literal mark, something like this chip that can be used to make purchases. But this is due to the technological advancements of our time. I remember when there was a conspiracy about bar codes. It doesn't matter the method.

Just think that the main aspect to all of this is to be saved, and walking in the will of God for your life!
