Doubtful as long as the United States can destroy the world several times over. Kept the now defunct Soviet Union at bay. Even China had to switch over from Communism to State Capitalism.
That would make my day. Hopefully we could take out North Korea as well.

no, i know for a fact that China wants to transform America into their serfdom without destroying a relatively strong channel of communications with America. yes China wants world domination but not at the cost of a thermonuclear venue which possibly (in their way of thinking) could cost decades or even a century to repair.
They realize our assets, one of which is the Mississippi valley probably the most fertile agricultural productive valley on earth along with California's central San Joaquin Valley which is also one of the seven most fertile valleys in the world - fifteen million acres of land some 450 miles in length and typically 40 to 60 miles wide. Fresno County is located in the heart of this valley and is the most productive agricultural county in the nation. Most fertile areas have a few inches of topsoil, the San Joaquin Valley topsoil is 60 feet deep. fertilizer is virtually not needed.

Hal Lindsey was speculating like this 50 years ago. I really think we should stay away from eschatological speculation based on a news event here or a news event there. God will usher in the new heavens and earth upon Christ’s return when and how He wishes, regardless of man’s speculation.
personally i take great enjoyment in this kind of speculation. OF COURSE He will be glorified,
i remember seeing a preacher preaching Jesus COMING IN GLORY stop and do a pentacostal dance with shouting (Hallelujah, glory be, praise the LORD) across the front of the church. In this case i thought it fitting though i am no charismatic.
We have it within our means to exterminate them so let’s just do it.
