I have spent the last 2 1/2 years going through my personal hell so to speak, and I'm just coming out of the other side, and I will tell you one thing I have learned through this trial is that the Gospel is everything. Your sarcastic quotation marks around genuine are very telling to me and heartbreaking at the same time.
For those of us who know and love God it is extremely difficult to understand how another can turn their back on Him. But we who know His love also know, that God’s plan from the beginning was that all in His creation see and understand His eternal power and divinity so that they are without excuse and further that He will judge their response in truth and His judgment will be just. His offer of salvation is indeed “genuine” to all His creatures and it is equally heartbreaking for me to see those who have adopted a theology that some truly have no hope if they’re being honest and never did in their belief some weren’t preselected to have that ability to respond, when in fact they have come to this belief because they can’t deal with the thought that a loved one would reject loving the truths of God. I accept that there is no excuse, His judgment is in truth, just and based in His great love so believing in His wisdom and righteousness I find assurance and I trust that one day I will understand and be at peace with all His decisions.
Back to politics:
There is nothing stopping Christians in this country from sharing the Gospel, except what we ourselves use as an excuse. Evangelist6589 is out on the street corner as much as possible it seems, we have countless pastors here who preach week in and week out. History shows what happens when the church and politics get in bed with each other. Pastor being able to endorse or not endorse a politician of their choice from the pulpit has not bearing on them, and the congregation sharing the Gospel with those around them.
So on one hand you say Trump being the president would be God’s judgment on the country as in we will all be doomed and on the other hand say there is only one thing important and nothing stopping us from spreading the Gospel except the excuse that the government can make any difference whatsoever.
Which is it, Trump is the worst thing that can happen to our country or nothing can effect or stop us? Sorry,
but you can't have it both ways.
And apparently following your same train of “reasoning”, the supporter
giving you the big “AMEN!” is saying on one hand it is all those silly Christians talking about they won’t be able to do things if Hillary president that are wrong and are simply “fear-mongering”, nothing more, BUT on the other hand he is saying if “ungodly Trump” becomes president he is in agreement with you
that it is a trial of God as in His judgment will be upon the country.
Got it…
Oh, I think I see where you would like to go with this,
Trump makes no difference and Hillary makes no difference, of course, unless Trump becomes the president
THEN this election is a sign that God’s judgment is upon us
and “He will prune the church for His
glory, YES, praise Sovereign God that He is in control,
and for the upcoming preplanned wrath which is due to Trump will be a wonderful thing for us to behold!
AMEN!”
…and
just in case..let us be reminded, once again, that Hillary can simply make no difference. AMEN!
Glad that got straightened out!!
But, if you two are so sure it makes no difference in any way pray tell why are you here continually, obsessively and biasedly attacking one side as the worst evil that can fall upon us??? Your two’s double-speak is seriously messed up! …
