Hi guys, ever been involved in a thread and somehow the thread turns to something so off topic that the OP is forgotten?

Well good news, here is a thread you can post that off topic material and everyone is free to discuss it as much as they like.

Simply post it here, and then inform those that have derailed the thread that their post/s have been relocated to the thread that is specific to their post.

While it may not keep them from continuing to derail the thread, nor drive them back to the topic, at the very least there will be a public record that you have objected to the intrusion into the topic.

I'll kick this off with the next post.

Enjoy!

God bless.

Is that sophistry? Why is it you so often refuse to honestly answer questions? Is Truth not important to you?

Whats your problem?

I would suggest that you simply do what we know is God's will - witness and as people are brought to the Lord, then approach a New Testament church for them to send and work with the group and do that which is necessary to properly constitute it into a church. That may require additional teaching prior to organizing them.

You have been formally invited to discuss your off-topic issue in the New Thread designed specifically for off-topic material.

God bless.

Okay here is one... It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven... We have a needle and the camel is the thread... I look at the needle, then the camel, needle, camel, needle, camelConfused... Kinda like the sinner and the Jesus working in tandem to save the sinner... With man this is impossible but with God all things are possible!... Btw ITL cute kitty!... Brother Glen:Biggrin

Are we allowed to tell jokes on this thread?

if so, do they have to be good jokes?

Are we allowed to tell jokes on this thread?

That is actually encouraged.

Not at all. Humor is in the funny bone of the hearer.

Think of it like this: someone telling a bad joke can be just as funny as someone telling a good one.

We already have an example of that:

Yes, I think you are allowed to stay. Uh, I mean, uh, what I meant to say was, uh, okay.
:D:D:D

:Biggrin:D:D

This calls to mind my nephew's favorite joke when he was five: how do you catch a squirrel?

Climb up a tree and act like a nut.

God bless.

Well if I did that I would get stuck in the tree and my wife would have to call the Fire Dept as the neighborhood looked on... The Fire Dept. would arrive and say What is that nut doing in that tree and being old as he is he should know better... Seems kinda squirrely to me!... Then my wife after I was rescued would sit me in the corner for time out... Hey it could happen, do you really know me?... That is why I stay out of trees... Brother Glen:Biggrin

Well, think of this way: at your age, you probably don't really need squirrels anyway, right?

;)

but how serious is this
thread going to be?
In fact, IMHO, before posting, men should wear Coats and ties and women should be wearing knee length skirts.

Only if you wear your kilt with a white shirt and tie.

The problem I see is: Since the thread is supposed to be off topic, how do you know if you're off topic when you're actually addressing the topic, which is to be off topic?

I wore a coat and tie tonight but took them off before I posted here. I would have kept them on had I known they were required. (Wait; the heat index was 101, so I might not have. Or I might have if I'd known it was on topic and could be posted because it was off topic. But if it was off topic but really was on topic ... My brain needs some ice cream, I think.)

So what I understand is you de-railed then re-railed then de-railed then re-railed then de-railed and re-railed this topic again... Hey you got any Rocky Road?... Brother GlenConfused

Is keeping up with derailments on topic? If so, that would make it off topic, wouldn't it?

No Rocky Road (my second favorite), but I've got some Moose Tracks. Glad you reminded me. The cat and I need some sustenance after all this mental labor.
