The Old Covenant and the New Covenant are the same Law..

You do not just post what one translation of the Scriptures says. You add your biased opinions and interpretation to it.

The Church of England makers of the KJV had their own biases which influenced and affected their textual criticism decisions, Bible revision decisions, and translation decisions, but you ignore that fact.

You avoid or ignore what other English Bible translations say. Other English Bibles are a translation of the Scriptures in the same sense as the KJV is.
Take any translation you want, God requires obedience to His Law because He knows otherwise we are on the path to eternal death and He doesnt want that. He loves us and His Law is one of love. The Ten Commandments shows God's character, and more...

God is JUST - Romans 3:26. His law is JUST - Romans 7:12.

God is TRUE - John 3:33. His law is TRUE - Nehemiah 9:13.

God is PURE - 1 John 3:3. His law is PURE - Psalm 19:7,8.

God is FAITHFUL - 1 Corinthians 1:9. His law is FAITHFUL - Psalms 119:86.

God is GOOD - Nahum 1:7. His law is GOOD - Romans 7:12,16.

God is SPIRITUAL - John 4:24. His law is SPIRITUAL - Romans 7:14.

God is HOLY - Isaiah 6:3, 1 Peter 1:15. His law is HOLY - Exodus 20:8, Romans 7:12.

God is TRUTH - John 14:6. His law is TRUTH - Psalms 119:142,151.

God is LIFE - John 14:6. His law is LIFE - Matthew 19:17.

God is RIGHTEOUSNESS - Jeremiah 23:6. His law is RIGHTEOUSNESS- Psalm 119:172.

God is PERFECT - Matthew 5:48. His law is PERFECT - James 1:25.

God is ETERNAL - John 8:35. His law is ETERNAL - Psalms 111:7,8.

God is PEACE - Isaiah 9:6. His law is PEACE - Psalm 119:165.

God is SURE - 2 Timothy 2:19 His law is SURE - Psalm 19:7, 111:7,8

God is UNCHANGING - Malachi 3:6 His law is UNCHANGING - Psalm 111:7,8

God is DELIGHT - Psalm 37:4 His law is DELIGHT - Psalm 1:2

God is MERCIFUL - Exodus 34:5 His law is MERCIFUL - Psalm 119:58

God is LIFE - Psalm 36:9 His law is LIFE - Proverbs 3:1-2

God is LOVE - 1 John 4:7,8 His law is LOVE - Romans 13:8-10

Look and see what Christ was quoting...

Deuteronomy 11:13
And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love the Lord your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,

Deuteronomy 11:22
For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him;

Deuteronomy 13:3
Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the Lord your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

Matthew 22:37
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

How about the Law and all of it was but a type and shadow of Christ to come, as now under Grace?

Christ was the Son of God establishing the new covenant by perfect obedience to the law of God in fallen human flesh. Jesus was not just a devout Jew living under the old covenant, He was our example of how to live in the covenant with God.

Revelation 3:21 King James Version (KJV)
21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne

Paul disagrees with you as Jesus was born under the Law, and observed the Jewish aspects of the OC, but we do not n ow under the new One!

The big difference between the OC & the NC Law is the WRITING rather than the content.

The OC Law was written on stone tablets, & required perfect obedience. Only Jesus achieved this. Disobedience required condemnation & punishment. Jesus bore the punishment for the sin of mankind at Calvary.

The NC Law is written on our hearts, by the Holy Spirit. We are in Christ & credited with his perfect righteousness. We are not perfect in ourselves, only in Christ.

So just ignore all the things He said in His Word, I think everyone can see the error of that.

the law is the law - breaking it is/was one of the definitions of sin

1 John 3:4 Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.

Psalm 119 - the law is impossible to be kept

5 O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes!
6 Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments

Only Jesus - God incarnate - can save us from our death.

John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

I've died with Christ--dead people who are no longer a part of the first creation cannot be restricted by law. I'm part of the new creation that is governed by the Spirit.

No, just make sure to apply principles of the Apostles under NC grace, and not go back under OT law!
You have Paul saying "God Forbid" to what your throw out of what Christ declares clearly, He never changes. It now is written in our hearts, so righteousness above what the Pharisees claimed.

Matthew 5:20
For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

The NC Law is written on our hearts, by the Holy Spirit. We are in Christ & credited with his perfect righteousness. We are not perfect in ourselves, only in Christ.
But the question is, when we put on Christs robe of righteousness, do we continue in sin and iniquity. Of course not, as Christs law is written within our hearts, He in us and we in Him.

1 John 3:24 King James Version (KJV)
24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

Ephesians 4:22-24 King James Version (KJV)
22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

1 Peter 4:1-2 King James Version (KJV)
1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.

Amen! In regards to Matthew 5:20 - "unless your righteousness shall exceed that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven," this statement from Jesus would come as a shock to the multitude of people who had great admiration of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, for their knowledge of the law and seeming righteousness and holiness in external observance of the law, yet Jesus points out their righteousness was defective.

Paul makes it clear in Romans 10:3-4, "For they (Israel) being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who BELIEVES."

The righteousness that exceeds the "righteousness of the scribes and the Pharisees" (self righteousness) is the righteousness of God which is from God by faith.

Philippians 3:9 - and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith.

Romans 3:21 - But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, 22 even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference.

Romans 4:5 - But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness, 6 just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from works.
