Roger, sometimes the wasp sting must come before we realize the will of God. Many a life has gone down before our time, yet "he is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose." Jim Elliot, who died shortly after those words at the hands of the Auca INdians. His death has been the spark to send many a soul fleeting to the mission field, home and abroad.

Cheers, my brother. The Lord will neither leave you nor forsake, but will life you up with other blessings.....in His time.

Cheers,

Jim

I agree with Jim1999, Roger. This man will be missing out on a great blessing but the Lord will bring more to your church. We see so many adults won to the Lord through our children's AWANA program. Your work with the youth will NOT return void!

Roger, by what I have read here, this man sounds like he buys into the positive-confession crowd, such as, the Word of Faith bunch. As painful as it is, this guy is way off base.
I too agree with Jim.

On a pleasant note, I am announcing here that my daughter-in-law will go in early tomorrow morning at which time, they will induce labor. I look forward to my second grandchild (also a girl.)
I pray that all will be well with Katrina, as well as little Adeline.

Praise the Lord for the great news!

Our only granddaughter, Morgann, had a reall BIG day yesterday. Matt rang to tell us that she, well, used he potty for the first time yesterday. They rang 4000 miles so Morgann could say, "Grampy, I poo"

Thanks for the encouragement folks, I needed it.

Oh well, it balanced out good (Morgann) with the bad! :D gotta take all the positives we can, bro. You'll really be in for it once Morgann figures out how to call you and Grammy!

Did you know, Watchman, that induced labor actually produces a lot longer labor? Our daughter has been induced three times.

Congrats on that little granddaughter! Glad all is well and it's over now.

Actually, the Doc gave up and took her by c-section.
Yes, she was thoroughly examined by a Pediatrician and she is quite healthy.

Perhaps you have noticed, my posting have been very limited lately. I continue to post the devotional and the odd message in here, but I have lost interest in the other forums. The other room has become the woman's thread and the related threads have taken the same tone. Just not my cuppa.

Cheers, and God bless, see you in the devotionals.
