Hello Jim,

Yes, it was wonderful to be back in Wales. Our old cottage is for sale...but we can't afford to buy it now. We hope to go back for a few days sometime in the next few weeks. Our friends loved having the grandchildren around. Luke and Zoe were amazed at the amount of space they had to play in.

God Bless

Roger, it is west Wales we go to. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and we got to see some red kites quite close up, and buzzards too.

Roger, we are planning a return trip sometime in September/October. Our friends would love us to move back there. It is very tempting.

When the well was down, we'd haul in water from the raintubs & our children would go around saying this little ditty: "Water, water everywhere and not a drop to drink; water in the bathtub and water in the sink." I haven't thought about that in years!

Hello all,

How is everyone today ? I have just seen my doctor and she agreed to reduce my meds. She also said that next time I see her she may refer me to a memory clinic.

We are going to take a wander over to Evesham for lunch. It is very cloudy and dull here today. I was very blessed that the local Bible college allowed me to photocopy some pages from a commentary which is out on loan at my university. Now to read 50 pages of Thiselton. That should keep me quiet for a while.

Back later,
Blessings

Hello Roger and everyone who looks in today. Roger it is so much cooler and fresher here too. A bright sunny morning and perfect temperature for me. Not too hot.

Good day to all.

I am a little late getting around the net to-day. My mind, and body, were visiting too many places in the real world outdoors.

It is cool and rainy here. It has been, what I might consider, a poor summer, but then, must admit, God doeth all things well, and there must be purpose in all this.

Wales in the countryside remains most pristine, in both land and people, at least in my humble opinion. Can't say as much for the cities though, They have fallen into the cracks of society. If I remember, Sheila, you were just north of where I spent my school days at Llanelli. Of course, it was another generation and it seems ages ago in history now, but there is always a longing to "come back home". Like the song I last remember:

This land of ours will keep a welcome
And with a love that never fails
We'll kiss away each hour of Hiraeth
When you come home again to Wales.

Cheers, and God bless,

Jim

Guess who fell asleep.

Jim, yes Llanelli is about 40 miles away that I remember. Carmarthen is 16 miles from us. We didn't get there this time tho'. Looking forward to our next visit already.

Blessings
