The question of Why?

Granny, michelle and askjo, I love you all dearly.
However when you get in the ring throwing left hooks at us, expect some counter punches especially when you denigrate what most people here at the BB cherish, namely the Word of God (NASB, NKJV, NIV and yes the KJV).

I attack the falsehood of KJVOism.
For yourself.
It is the KJVO Camp that is attacking the Word of the Most High
They know the KJV is the Word of God: it is the true Word of God. They know MVs are not the Word of God: they are false word of God. The KJVO did not attack the true Word of God.
but because it is on a 12+ reading level.
Disagree! You are smarter than me because you complain about the reading level. The research company disagrees with you concerning reading level and the KJV.
I see Satan more at work within the KJVO Camp that those of us who use modern translations like the NASB, NKJV, KJ21, NIV, ESV, etc....
The Satan is anywhere around you and me. The Satan said, "Yea, hath God said" because MVs are here.
I was a cultic KJVO for over 7 years.
because you were on WRONG side that I excluded. Look at me -- I was MVO for 10 years until I researched and found the evidences. I turned from MVO to OKJV.

You just attacked my Bible, the true word
of the most high God.

BTW, you also attacked your own KJV1769.
(all bibles translated after 1700 are
Modern Versions).

BTW, you are attacking KJVO#2s and KJVO#1s
here. "F" in "enemy identification" homework :(

2 Peter 2:9-10 (KJV1769):

The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out
of temptations, and to reserve the unjust
unto the day of judgment to be punished:

10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh
in the lust of uncleanness, and despise
government
. Presumptuous are they,
selfwilled, they are not afraid
to speak evil of dignities.

You know, I will be first to admit that I can get very caustic and sarcastic myself sometimes, but, truth to tell, I wish it were not so.

Colossians 4:6 tells us:

Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

However, when I first started posting here in the BB, I was at first surprised to see posts like yours, then I thought, what the heck...

The dictionary defines sarcasm as :

n :
n.
A cutting, often ironic remark intended to wound.
A form of wit that is marked by the use of sarcastic language and is intended to make its victim the butt of contempt or ridicule.

witty language used to convey insults or scorn; "he used sarcasm to upset his opponent"; "irony is wasted on the stupid";
ex.
Satire is a sort of glass, wherein beholders do generally discover everybody's face but their own"--Johathan Swift

Hot forums like the Versions forum and the Calvinist/Arminian Forums have very interesting appeal to most, but, things get out of hand because somebody starts using sarcasm and another responds and so on and on and on it goes until you finally couldn't tell who started what and the thing becomes a question of who came first, the chicken or the egg and nobody wants to own up to having been first to be unchristian with sarcasm.

Sad.

What has satan done since the Garden of Eden? he has tried to manipulate God's word.

First you complain about people attacking the KJV, then you start attacking God's word by casting doubt on other translations? Give it a rest.

You say you love this Bible, but yet, just go back & read all your post. I see an attack on me, on Michelle, and others here. Some have even been locked out.

And good riddance.

Yes, the attacks are getting worse because the devil has a plan and he's been operating it since the beginning. He will spare no effort trying to destroy God's Word;

Fantastic! Hail Satan, and pass the NIV!

Pardon me! What your Bible?
Judges 12
5 And the Gileadites took the passages of Jordan before the Ephraimites: and it was so, that when those Ephraimites which were escaped said, Let me go over; that the men of Gilead said unto him, Art thou an Ephraimite? If he said, Nay;
6 Then said they unto him, Say now Shibboleth: and he said Sibboleth: for he could not frame to pronounce it right. Then they took him, and slew him at the passages of Jordan: and there fell at that time of the Ephraimites forty and two thousand.

The KJV is NEVER attacked. But the KJVO camp attacks non-KJV Bibles all the time. Here's an example right on p. 2 of this thread:

They know the KJV is the Word of God: it is the true Word of God. They know MVs are not the Word of God: they are false word of God.
So he just called the Bibles I use the "false word of God." Thread after thread has asked for proof and no proof has ever been given. Instead, we get links to spurious conspiracy articles, innuendos, attacks on character, straw men arguments, etc. Frankly, it's pitiful

When I was a new believer, I was briefly almost taken in the by the KJVO view -- I had Gail Riplinger's book at the urging of some people and read through it. I saw the incredible flaws in her statements and also researched what she said. Well, it didn't hold water, and nothing put forth here by the KJVO camp does.

You have broken the rules of this board. You have spoken evil against the very Word of God. You have sinned in the sight of not just one but many. You refuse to answer questions but just spew your venom and your ignorance. You need to repent. You can have different opinions about the best translation, but you are not a liberty to attack God's Holy Word.

This is "attacking" the KJV? No, it is raising very real issues. Why?

Because the KJV IS based on inferior MSS.

Because the KJV HAS errors, many of which have been over-discussed ad nauseum.

Because the KJV IS derived from 6-7 (by Erasmus' count and brother, he should know!) Greek manuscripts. And Latin.

Folks, these are NOT "attacks". They are points of debate. I am NOT saying the KJV is not God's Word, is not inspired, is not FINE for you to use. Sadly, in this debate, the other side has condemned blatantly the Word of God that I use.

It has been noted.

If I got on here and said that the KJV is not the Word of God I would and should be corrected and disaplined. I would be required to repent and acknowledge my wrong statement. I believe Askjo needs to step up to the plate.
