What are going off about? All I did was comment on a rather key difference between the Lincoln and Kennedy assassinations. This is a discussion board, after all.

The only thing I meant with my comment was that the using the Kennedy assassination as a sort of proof text wasn't exactly meaningful, since it was internecine, left on left violence.
I don't really believe a civil war is coming any time soon. If it does , it will be short lived. The election of Donald Trump assured us of that.
I believe democrats and their violence prone left wing cohorts have been trying to take away the guns from law abiding citizens to pave the way for a complete left wing takeover of the country...by violence, if necessary.
The election of Donald Trump and the appointment of Neil Gorsuch put the brakes on the movement. Law abiding citizens still have their guns. If the democrat's violence prone left wingers get too carried away and law enforcement fails to protect the populace, law abiding citizens will put a stop to it. Quickly. And it won't be pretty.
Just effective.
What we are seeing are the temper tantrums of a few left wingers who haven't gotten the message. It's over, at least for the time being. Some of them are just too stupid to know it.
The founders of our republic knew what they were doing when they wrote the 2nd Amendment.

The rabble rousing motive behind the shootings is what will spark a new civil war. As long as the Democrats and the Never Trumps continue to ignore the validity of the election there is little option but armed protection of our republic.
