You think Russia wants Ukraine as a buffer between NATO? Sort of like the Romulan neutral zone?

Thanks for sharing. The Ukrainians are claiming they shot down two Russian jets today, added to 9 other aircraft over the weekend.

Hard to know what is true, but that seems to be a lot of aircraft in a short period. It might explain why Russia seems to be focused on artillery.

Well, I’d have to see that verified. I certainly hope it’s true, but it seems very high casualty rate for just over a week of combat.

Its hard to say, Russia claims much lower numbers (then again Russia is carrying a human vaporizer to affect that count and has no concern for great loss of life) and I'm not under the illusion that Ukraine is any angel in this or wouldn't inflate it but I think its safe to say from the pictures that some real damage is being done on both sides.

Zelensky announced his readiness to find a compromise on Crimea and Donbass. This is not a statement that a "victorious" Ukraine could make.
