no, if you're talking about the thing from the nineties, it wasn't a treaty:

Does the U.S. have an obligation to protect Ukraine? (whsv.com)

China is next: US cleans up Biden's 'commitment' to defend Taiwan from Chinese invasion - ABC News (go.com)

another big nuke country, but they'll walk all over the US too, and all Joe Biden will do is to change his FB homepage to the (former) Tawain flag,
I stand corrected.

The agreement between the US, Ukraine and Russia and others that provided security guarantees for Ukraine in exchange for dismantling their nukes was not an official treaty ratified by the US Senate.

I apologize for the misinformation.

peace to you

The situation in Ukraine is they're gaining ground on knocking out tanks with Javelin missiles which one might compare that adventure to an opportunity of going on an extreme hunting expedition for these rowdy Ukrainians. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if there were outsiders that would probably pay big money to be taken on a genuine Ukrainian guided Russian tank hunt. Heck, it could even become a popular new sport among the locals. ;)

In Chernihiv, a missile strike destroyed the hotel "Ukraine", where foreign military mercenaries were quartered.

I would be careful of using the word "mercenary" in regards to the non-Ukrainian flocking to support Kyiv. They are no more mercenaries than the anti-Fascists who fought in the International Brigade during the Spanish Civil War.

Ukraine has been a colony of the United States for 8 years now, so comparing volunteers who fought in Spain with mercenary people who fight for money is, to put it mildly, incorrect.

If Ukraine was a colony of the US, Poutin Putin’s army would have destroyed weeks ago.

peace to you

So far from a variety of sources, none of the volunteers I've seen have been motivated by money. Contrary to the reports coming out of the Moscow Kremlin, we are not seeing the second coming of Mike Hoare and 5 Commando.

Perhaps you should change your sources.
I will remind you of what my born and raised in UzSSR wife taught me years ago, "Правда не Новости. Новости не Правда."
For the most part, I look at feed from DW, Forces (the British Army), believe it or not, the Hindustan Times among others. I do not use Fox or CNN.

Please remember, you are pretty much the only one who speaks or reads Russian on the Board. So, posting clips without English subtitles is all but worthless.

Мissile attack on the Yavoriv Polygon in western Ukraine (25 km from the border with Poland). At this Polygon, American, British and other NATO instructors trained saboteurs.

It took the Russian Aerospace Forces 2 minutes and 7 "Kaliber" (NATO reporting name SS-N-27 Sizzler and SS-N-30A) cruise missiles to destroy the "foreign legion" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to Ukrainian media reports, 35 people were killed and 134 people were injured.
