If you had bothered to check the link you would see I simply clipped and pasted the title.

Talk about a mealy mouth excuse! You didn't type it, you cut and pasted it. You sound like Bill Clinton, "I smoked but didn't inhale."

I am finished with this.

Are you for real?

For Starters - you mentioned the Pentagon -
I would suggest you read the Constitution - it provides for a military.

Many of the things you listed are for State/Commonwealth and local governments to handle.

Well he knows better, We had a conversation here about the use of this word before in which he took part in. It was explained then what the word meant and everyone agreed it was not a good term to be used here on this board.

For him to act ignorant now is just surprising.

What is surprising is that, as long as the term has existed, a professional librarian would not know its meaning.

I ran an technical engineering library. Not much in the way of literature or smut there. In fact there was no literature in the collection at all. Rather boring but necessary books.

Typical lib/dem/progressive response...

Get caught red handed, plead ignorance then blame someone else.

The link is irrelevant. The thread title was within your discretion to change. You did not have to quote it verbatim.

Hmmmm, strange. Several years ago I started citing titles directly from the title of the article after being severely criticized by some on the board for not doing so.

Salty, the pledge may have mentioned the Constitution. I certainly didn't. Go back and reread the OP.

And I've been criticized when I complain that titles do not reflect the content of the body of the post. The excuse is, "I just copied-and-pasted it, deal with it".

Anyway, no, I'm not going to sign your inflammatory, misleading, and question begging poll.

Like I said, I had no idea that the term can be vulgar.

Yes you did. I post a link to an old thread where you quoted another member on this board who gave the definition. You quoted that definition and then said it should not be used. So yea, you knew when you posted the title. Here is the link:

https://www.baptistboard.com/showthread.php?p=1818261&highlight=teabagger#post1818261

In response to that defintion of the word in the title of this thread that you knew was vulgar you said:

None of them, regardless of political philosophy should use such language.

The primary reason IMHO that his has been blow up so large is that Rush claims to be a spokesman for the GOP. I do not believe any of the ones you mentioned have climed to be the spokesman for the Democrats. And I am pretty sure none of those have claimed as Rush has that they are "Talent on loan from God".

But as far as I am concerned all who use such langauge should be barred from both radio and TV.

Post number 115 in thread entitled "About Rush" on 03-12-2012 at 1:06 PM

You quoted the definition and the responded to that definition with the above quote.

Knowing what you know now, would you post the same thread title? If not, will you publicly ask the Admins to change it?

CTB - the pledge is a spoof of Tea Partyists and Christians (purity pledge).

No member of the Tea Party wrote. No conservative wrote it.

A liberal-minded person who wanted to poke fun and mock the Tea Party and other conservative groups wrote this:

HENCE....

[1] The idiotic language such as "I will foreswear the time-honored principles of fairness, decency, and respect by screaming unintelligible platitudes regarding tyranny..." and much, much more.

And

[2] The vulgar name assigned to the Tea Party - "Teabagger" and the mocking "Purity Pledge".

You came here wanting to know if we would sign this absurdly-written mocking document.

Why?

It's not a conservative document. It's not even a genuine document. It's a joke. And you fell for it.

You need to be aware the hoaxes and spoofs of conservative and Christian people. The internet is OVERflowing with them.
