In light of Dr. Bob's remarks I checked the posting rules. I could find nothing related to banning for posting a private message. I realize this is undesirable but I make no excuses and no apologies.

It is worth noting. I protested the private message yesterday and received no response. I posted the private message and Dr. Bob responded within 10 minutes. You figure! I have my own opinions!
where do you find the posting rules?

There are many differences of opinion on this board, especially in the areas of Calvinism and eschatology. They should remain just that, no matter how fiercely they may be held by any one poster:
Here is what the rules say:

Be aware of forum Categories. We offer a wide range of forums. Most are for BAPTISTS only, to post opinions, views, beliefs and ideas. We also have a few forums for BAPTISTS and all other CHRISTIANS, with pertinent topics that relate to everyone.

Use discretion when posting.
There is also a section about posting opinions as fact.
One would well to consider that advice. We contend for the faith. But in Calvinism and eschatology there are many different opinions. We cannot state our opinions as fact and at the same time condemn others either as heretics or their positions as heresy or "of Satan." This is against the rules. Your opinion is not necessarily the correct one. It is your opinion no matter how convinced you are on it. Leave it there, and leave the judgement in God's hands.

3. Show grace to the other posters. When someone disagrees with you, discuss it; but be slow to offend, and eager to get into the Word and find the answers. Remember, when discussing passionate issues, it is easy to go too far and offend. Further, if we are "earnestly contending for the faith" it would be unrealistic not to expect at times to be misunderstood or even ridiculed. But please note that your words can sometimes be harsh if used in the wrong way. The anger of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
4. Personal attacks will not be tolerated. The board has an edit button enabled. We encourage you to use it and edit your own words. Moderators and Administrators will be visibly proactive in dealing with potentially offensive situations. Posts of a violent or threatening nature, either implicitly or explicitly, will be deleted, and the poster's membership revoked. We encourage personal problems with other members be resolved privately via email or personal messaging.

State your opinion as fact and it can be edited or deleted right away. To call anyone else's position heretical is your opinion stated as fact; definitely against the rules.

Furthermore it is a veiled personal attack, as you are inferring the person is a heretic.

Added to that, it contravenes the rule "to post in grace," to be slow to offend."

Thus to call another position heresy breaks the rules in at least three different areas when it is not heresy, but only a difference of opinion. It is only heresy to you, not to others. To call a person's position "of Satan," and other such names falls into the same category. If the thread continues to degenerate it will have to be closed.

Please stay on topic, and answer to the OP.

DHK- What is the BB (not the Bible) standard for the content of PMs? Is there one? If there is one, will it be enforced?

Although it is not written I believe pm's should remain what they are "pm's," private messages. Were they not private for a reason?

That's fine, but my question was about standards. Posts have a standard of what is acceptable and not. Do PMs have a similar standard, and if so what is it and is the standard enforced?

Essentially, does the BB administration consider it acceptable to call someone "Satan", for instance?

Apparently it is appropriate to say that OldRegular's father is the devil. Devil, Satan same thing!

That is hard to enforce. Unless a pm is put in quotes how does one tell if it is a pm or not?

No, it is not acceptable.

Observation would indicate otherwise.

The gripe is not about a single incident, but a pattern of behavior that's been allowed.
I am not going to mention names, but aside from the intricate details of the rules and how to apply them to each case, there is one person in common who has caused all of these incidents, the same person that reported me for calling them an idiot after repeated personal attacks. One person is the focus of the entire problem.

The kicker is that it is many people that have had similar experiences. I know of at least three others beside us two.

One cannot wonder but that he is being protected for some reason.

Omygoodness.... just put the offender on your Ignore list and be done with it. In my opinion or yours the moderators should have banned this member, but we needn't rely entirely on their agreement and action, thanks to the "Ignore list" feature on this Board.

Yessir, UserCP, then scroll down a bit and find "Edit Ignore List" in the left-side column. Just type in the name of the offending member and save it. Done. Perhaps this one secretly owns the board or funds it or holds something over others' heads, I don't know. But I read several of his posts before deciding to put him on my ignore list. That's when I decided that he wasn't just picking on me, but he's an "equal-opportunity harasser."
