They are married. Marriage/wedding is nothing more than a public announcement of dedication to each other. Are divorced people who again marry really married? Yes, but it is an adulterous marriage.

I just learned today, a girl who lived behind us and had a troubled childhood has declared herself to be a man.

Won't she get a monthly reminder ... she's NOT?

I'm not seeking to be superfluous nor sensational nor sellacious ... but really ...

this is a mental disease. Facilitating the lie clearly demonstrates the lack of love. Now there are a few ways to respectfully and lovingly share the truth and a LOT of disrespectful ways ... but if the truth is sacrificed, there is no love.

While truth is not disrespect, sometimes professing Christians express truth in unkind or unloving ways (think Westboro Church...they refer to these people as "Sodomites"). The truth is all immorality is wrong - to include disobedience to God's commands about how we are to treat other people.

If we cannot express the truth in a loving way then we may as well not express that truth because we ourselves are being disobedient.

Courtesy is given. Respect is earned.

The truth of the matter is that marriage is impossible between same sex individuals, period. Legislatures and others calling it a marriage does not make it a marriage.
