It's because there is a political impetus behind "gun control". It's clear that totalitarians could care less about saving lives because they have no compassion for the unborn. They just don't want civilians who can resist totalitarianism.

In Britain there has been a sudden surge in acid attacks. Therefore the Gov't is bringing in restrictions concerning who may buy sulphuric acid. It's not the acid's fault that people are using it to disfigure other people, but I support the restriction.

I understand but over there across the pond yall are used to the government running your lives.

Yes, but the acid ban to minors is just treating the symptom - think about it, the UK never needed such a regulation before last week.

Well duh! Of course it is only treating the symptoms. The root cause is wicked hearts and a lack of fear towards God (Romans 3:14-18). What the nation needs is the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, but large numbers of UK churches and church leaders wouldn't know the Gospel if it bit them on the leg. Therefore the Gov't needs to restrain wickedness as best it can.

I hope I don't ever give the impression that Britain is a more righteous country than America; it isn't at all!

15 Shocking Florida Stand Your Ground Cases (PHOTOS) | HuffPost

Whether it’s trick-or-treaters or kids playing in the yard of someone who doesn’t want them there or some drunk guy stumbling into the wrong house,” former Miami police chief John F. Timoney told the New York Times, “you’re encouraging people to possibly use deadly physical force where it shouldn’t be used.”

In the eight years since, the law has been invoked to protect drug dealers and gang members from murder charges, and it’s allowed personal disputes over lovers, possessions, and yes, trash bags, to escalate into bloody murder scenes without consequences.

What in the hell is our state government doing passing a law encouraging our citizens to solve disputes with guns?,” Arthur Hayhoe, executive director of the Florida Coalition to Stop Gun Violence, told the Tampa Bay Times. “This is the right-to-commit-murder law.”

So where in all of that did you prove that a black person couldn't kill a white person under this law?

Let's look at the statement you made that Revmitchell asked you to prove:

FollowTheWay said:
Fla. also has the "Stand Your Ground" law which allows people to shoot and kill someone if "they're afraid of them." Of course this only really works for white people killing black people.

You have failed.

Still waiting for you to prove this was a terrorist attack.
Anyone who plans for months to murder as many people as possible and carries 12 semi-automatic weapons and then commits the worst mass murder in U.S. history is a terrorist. He had sensors set up to detect the police. He hit a storage tank containing aircraft fuel which didn't explode thank goodness. He had many more guns and explosives at home and planned two more attacks. This is what's called domestic terrorism which has killed far more people than international terrorism in America since 9/11 which is still not adequately been investigated.

I didn't say that. I said it's highly unlikely. An article was posted here by someone else which said the same thing. My post #64 referred to that article.

"This might be a first: a black man shoots a white man in self defense … and he does not get charged with murder."
