Since you enjoy attempting to point out my sins Dude, let's point out yours, ok?

Earllier on this thread you said:

"...vanity would mean I want to be called "Pastor Paul!" I have never requested that anyone refer to me by any title."

I then referred you to when you told me:

"And, it's Pastor Paul, Matt, not righteous dude! Or, maybe you're tooooooo self-righteous to give me the respect of my office of Pastor. That too is a sin."

So, it seems you are guilty of vanity (by your own admission) and of telling lies.

As for me being "spiritually incorrigible", you fail again. Do you not believe that God was able to transform me? Do you believe that the power of God was unable to save my sarcastic soul?

You need to lighten up and grow some thicker skin Dude. You take offense when anyone disagrees with one of your emoticon blasting, urgent, "you-must-read-this-right-now" declarations. I'm on this forum having fun and sometimes that means poking someone else with a stick a little bit. It wouldn't be so much fun to poke you if it didn't make you yelp so much each time ;).

What gaffe?

Question put to Cain: "Do you agree with Obama on Libya?"

[Cain appears somewhat flummoxed; you can see he's trying to figure out what the reporter is asking.]

Cain: "Specifically, what are you asking me whether or not I agree or disagree with Obama?

Cain took a little while mulling over how to respond to the question. Is that the so-called 'gaffe'?

Bye, bye? I don't think so. Who's going to see this video? Who's going to care?

Lots of people.

It has gone out over the airways to all 57 states of the union.

I was warming up to Cain...was even overlooking the accusations by the prior employees, because until proof is provided, it's only accusations...but he lost me when he couldn't talk about Libya. Couple that with his gaffe about not knowing China had nukes, and other foreign affairs that he's appeared ignorant about, and you have a candidate who isn't prepared to deal with the rest of the world.

The next president has to be up on current events, and be able to talk foreign affairs.

Maybe he only had a Rick Perry moment; Lord knows, I have them all the time. But the man who will be the leader of this country can't afford to have that sort of problem, much less rely on "I'll have to gather my advisors to give you an answer about such-and-such country."

I'd like to see Cain get smart about foreign affairs, and then we'll see what happens. If he continues to remain ignorant, especially after this latest mistake, then it's a willful ignorance, and makes him even less desirable as a candidate.

Presidents typically don't have Q&A sessions without knowing what the topic and questions are going to be ahead of time. Presidents have cabinet members that are the micro-specialists on the issues. The fact is that Presidents DO gather their advisors together before they make policy decisions.

I'm going to give Cain a pass on this one. He appeared to be bone-tired and was attempting to ferret out the actual question at hand and possibly trying to anticipate which direction the follow-up question was likely to go.

The phrase "Rick Perry moment"--love it!

It wouldn't matter if Cain discovered the cure for cancer, the USS Cain is slowly sinking. It might be time to abandon ship!

Which candidate are you leaning towards for the 2012 presidential race?

I don't know, I may not even vote. Texas will cast it's delegates for whoever the Republican Party nominates. If Romeny is on the ticket I might well cast my vote for him.

I was thinking more about how he did his wife and his condemnation of Clinton while he was doing the same thing.

Looks like he says one thing and does another. Maybe that explains why he is a politician.

Oh, did Newt lie under oath like Clinton? I must have missed that one.

I guess I missed where I excused Clinton for lying.

Do you think this gives Newt a free pass to do what he did?

No, of course I don't think anything gives Newt a free pass. He's not my choice for any office, specifically because of his lack of morals.

The point I was making however is that Clinton wasn't catching flack for his sexual indiscretions (yes, obviously there was flack associated with this), but for perjury.

Right, but Clinton hasn't been in the Oval Office for over 10 years. This thread was about Gringrich. I agree that Clinton lied under oath, but I sure would trade the economy during the Clinton years for what we have now.

I am interested in seeing the person elected who will turn this economy around, I don't care which party he is affiliated with.

(1) I Could Like Newt....and (2) Shame on Mattie boy!

Since you enjoy attempting to point out my sins Dude, let's point out yours, ok? Like a dog, you are returning to old vomit (sick!).

Earllier (please use your spell check) on this thread you said:

"...vanity would mean I want to be called "Pastor Paul!" I have never requested that anyone refer to me by any title." This is old news. WWJD in regard to what I am putting before you in regard to the Fruit of the Spirit?

I then referred you to when you told me:

"And, it's Pastor Paul, Matt, not righteous dude! Or, maybe you're tooooooo self-righteous to give me the respect of my office of Pastor. That too is a sin." Again, old news. I apologized to you for coming across like I did. BTW - I never received an apology from you for your mean spiritedness!
So, it seems you are guilty of vanity (by your own admission) and of telling lies. "When you point a finger at someone else, there are three others pointing back at you!" Again, I apologized to you. It should be forgiven and left. Another sin on your behalf, Mattie boy???

As for me being "spiritually incorrigible", you fail again. Do you not believe that God was able to transform me? Do you believe that the power of God was unable to save my sarcastic soul? Well, you said it, I didn't. Maybe you just might be unto something here??

You need to lighten up and grow some thicker skin Dude. You take offense when anyone disagrees with one of your emoticon blasting, urgent, "you-must-read-this-right-now" declarations. I'm on this forum having fun (At other's expense - shame on you, Mattie boy) and sometimes that means poking someone else with a stick a little bit (WWJD???) . It wouldn't be so much fun to poke you if it didn't make you yelp so much each time ;).
Again, shame on you for not acting like Christ. This is an admitted poor excuse for a witness. Is this love in action? On the other hand, does this demonstrate your evil hunger to "bully" others???

....Now, back on point (topic)....how is your admitted "poking" others to get a "yelp" practicing the fruits of the Spirit? WWJD Mattie boy??? You are an admitted fourm bully! Shame on you! You have really made a case against your witness for Jesus.

One more time, for "good ol' Mattie boy"....if there has been anything, in the past, that I've done to offend you, I am truly sorry. I ask you to forgive me, and cease and desist your bully tactics on this forum to puff yourself up at my expense! :praying:

As for the love of Newt...let's just say that he has past sins, and made some huge mistakes. We need someone without issues, and there seem to be few in this current list who do not have some issues that would make for some healthy "cannon fodder" going up against Obama (even though he has his own serious issues). If Newt didn't have this old baggage, I'd agree with Blackbird....he'd make a great candidate. Rather grandfatherly, wise, and a steady hand at the wheel.

NONE of the Rep. candidates have "NO ISSUES"- just ask the liberal media. If there aren't any real ones, made-up ones will do just as well.
