The world looks at Easter as being all about the Easter Bunny, all about colored eggs, and all about candy, but does the Christian look at Easter the same way? What does easter mean to you? According to the book 50 reasons why Jesus came to Die by John Piper, one key reason why Jesus came to die was to give eternal life to all who believe on him (John 3:16). So how will you celebrate easter since you know what its all about? Will you be out witnessing and sharing the good news with the lost? How many tracts have you passed out today? And there goes another moment gone forever. Go share your faith while you still have time.

Easter is THE most important day on the Christian calendar, for If he was not risen, Christianity is a sham and bogus!

It's easy to hand our tracts - tell me, of all your tracts that you have handed out - how people have entered into the kingdom as a result?

I'm not against tracting - indeed I am all for it - but we have to accept that it is one of weakest forms of evangelism and it does not equate to actually befriending a person a bringing them into church to hear the truth of the gospel and experience the love of the people?

We had a standing room only easter service, as the pastors are big on personally telling people about Jesus...

Not once in my post did I suggest that tracts are the only way to witness. That's something you inserted.

I have no idea. I have passed out 5-10K in tracts in my lifetime.

We have 15 families in our church; 8 were gone on Easter. The Gospel in song (14 hymns, singing every verse), Scripture (6 entire passages) prayers, communion and a brief 40-minute sermon ALL proclaimed the Gospel

I have inserted anything anywhere, please back up your accusation with evidence - or don't make it in the first place - show me where I have stated you said that you did suggest such a thing or admit that you were wrong to lay that charge at my door!

And that is the point - a tract is pretty much 'fire and forget' evangelism! Certainly it has it's place, but to think that handing out tracts is effective evangelism is naive. It is so very easy for us to assuage our conscience, and believe we are serving well, because we have handed out a few (or many) tracts to people we are (most likely) to never meat again.

What about our family, what about our work colleagues, what about our neighbors and our friends - are we inviting them into church?

What about actually making friends with the goal of seeing them saved.

This all takes time and effort (we just spend an hour on Saturday morning doing it) rather it is 24/7 vocation that requires prayer, love, time, effort.

When you bring me a story about that I will listen until then I am pleased you handed out some tracts, I am sad that you don't seem to be following people up at all, but I will keep on meeting people, and doing things for people for the sake of the Lord, and trust that he (in his grace) will save some through my poor efforts.
