I think that Pope Francis is the Anti-Christ.

Anything is possible. Back in the day catholicism as the revived roman empire made sense to many. I can see why, as rome had quite a hold on the rest of the world. i don't see that influence anymore over heads of nations. I'm no fan of PF, don't get me wrong. I'm just doubting he's a candidate for this job. I don't think he's savvy enough.

Nothing I said disputes that.

That's not a disqualifier as the antichrist will not make this claim until quite a ways into the tribulation. He's not going to say it from the get go. If you're looking for an early confession, you're going to be fooled.

You really don't make any sense.
Satan is the ultimate Antichrist you all are so desperately waiting for.

You all are the ones not making any sense.

God on the throne is going to appear with the Lamb before this mystery being is going to be Jumping up and down in glee, at how happy he was to deceive the whole world, even those alleged elect types.

You all get to hear it is Satan, but you all keep denying it, so it seems. You have so many objections on the matter. You like to keep it a mystery and guessing game. No man can live 2500 years. Yet Paul says this "man" was already at work. In fact at work in Daniel's time, and he was not allowed to say who it was, just like Paul could not tell those in the 1st century who it was. 2500 years later all the truth gets: "it does not make sense".

Now God says you all can know it is Satan, and it does not make sense. Deception of Satan has worked and Satan knows it. All he can do is keep given people false thoughts, and keep offering fruit as wrong theology.

Right, but does the word non sequitur mean anything to you?

In this case it means the truth is not relevant. We will keep believing what we are taught.

You cannot have an antichrist before they claim they are a Christ. Satan calling himself Christ will not work. Thus, he convinced all to just call him the Antichrist. That way they will really know they were deceived.

That they will not be deceived is my goal. I apologize if my warning did not make sense, but really it does.

Then there is no debate about who is going to follow Satan. Many will choose Satan over God.

Humanity is something else, isn't it? I think that it is Salvation Army General William Booth who said go for souls, go for the worse.

Radio preacher Oliver B. Greene used to say go for the soul nearest to hell and that he wouldn't want a little dog to go to hell it is so terrible and he would try to catch a little dog by the hind leg if it was falling over the cliff into hell.

It helps if you can tie what you say to the historic Ecumenical Creeds. You can show a real difference between you and them especially in the Deity of Christ and the Trinity. Also useful for every wind of new doctrine since the 1800s.
Much better would be the 1644/1689 Baptist Confessions!

Think a Pope much better fits the False Prophet!

Recently became part of another Board, and what really surprised me was being taking to task by Admin for daring to question that groups such as Sda, Mormons, and JW were not really Christian!

We have issues here, but thankfully not like that!
Here's a story about one board that must not have been too professionally run. There was a certain Jesus is not God person who wanted to challenge me on the deity of Christ. Knowing the moderators were not neutral in anything regarding me, I agreed. But said I want a personal lawyer to monitor the debate and the chat board as long as the debate continues. All of a sudden things got quiet and they banned me for a couple of months. I returned to show there were no hard feelings. But all of the chat board messages were missing leading up to my banning. And they began censoring trinity and other articles. N. Finally one of the more impulsive moderators banned me from giving my views on free will while in a discussion with an Arminian.

Vicar of Christ!
Well after the first few popes, it should have been obvious. How many persons did Paul mention in 2 Thessalonians 2?

I can do nothing about some believers being wrong over the last 1600 years, every time a Pope dies.

There were many antichrist. Every new Pope, but still not the "man" mentioned in 2 Thessalonians 2.

I definitely could see the FP as someone like this modern Pope.
I see the Papacy fitting the demand to be able to command a world wide religion, as several of the popes have made outreach to Jews and Muslims past decades as "people of the book"

True, but the catholic church's political reach has greatly diminished. I was thinking more about the current pope's leftist marxist ideology. He's as left wing as they've ever seen. I could see an unraptured, unbelieving world looking to him for answers.
