It is unAmerican and it will go the the SC and it will be shot down for not meeting constitutional muster

I disagree (about the SC...not the unamerican part).

Look, we already know that 4 justices (the statists) will vote in favor of this. That means they only have to pick off one of five. Heck...this administration probably isn't above bribery (or worse).

All they need is one vote. I feel certain they will get it.

In another place you stated as pointedly that it would never pass the Senate.

Our trust cannot be in the arm of flesh. Men did not give us liberty. Liberty did not evolve. It is not a product of the Enlightenment. It is a product of the Gospel. God gave us liberty, and only God can preserve it.* It may be His will to take it away for a while, and who can blame Him?

My prayer is, of course, to deliver us from evil and from the evil men and women in Washington who are working to enslave us.

*God often uses human agency. Cyrus is one example. The American Revolution is another.

The Wall St. Journal gives a very reasoned, complete explanation as to why this is such a horrible bill. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704398304574598130440164954.html

I'm really disturbed by these events. My children won't have the same country to enjoy that I did...and there's simply nothing I can do about it.

Oh, I can vote to kick my congress folk out...but because of gerrymandering, there are many districts that simply will never be tossed...we've managed to put constituencies of moochers together, represented by filthy looters...

Unfortunately, I think this bill passes the "point of no return." I think it will not be possible to undo this headfirst leap towards socialism. We can close the book of the old America...this is the new America: The land of the not-so-free; and the home of the timid, lazy, and dishonest.

Sickening, it is.

Nothing better would ever be expected of a mindset that is convinced that the present or immediately former government are serving the people, and governing they way they should. They can be spotted a mile away. They have no vision, their bar of expectation is extremely low, and generally they have no respect or faith in individual achievement. They are generally big-government liberals that pretend to be conservative.

With all due respect SN, people can have all sorts of positions on issues without pretending to be anything. People have opinions, and some you'll agree with, and some you won't.
And honestly I am proud of the way that the Republican Senators and Representatives have fought this bill in every way they could. They are representing the will of the voters on this issue.

And the intent for stating the obvious is what?

If it were obvious, no one would be hoping in the Senate or the Supreme Court. You, again, underestimate the enemy and overestimate the mentality of the American people.

*God often uses human agency.

And the saving of your wife from choking the other day was an example. In that case, as in other areas of life (even government!), we can thank men & women when they do the right thing. Even though the Lord is ultimately responsible for that good.

My thoughts (the long version) on this healthcare bill, and its passage:

What is there to say in response to a bribery-riddled, anti-liberty, Constitution-trashing boondoggle such as what passed "our" Senate? Discussing the merits or validity of this "Healthcare bill" is as productive as polishing a turd.

I've watched this debate with a sense of dismay and disgust. I've seen this coming, ever since the losers we put in office years ago (otherwise known as "Republicans") forgot why we sent them there, and became part of the problem rather than the solution. I've watched as we elected jesus, junior to the presidency...and the messiah of hopenchange has, with an assist from a fascist Congress...worked to destroy the Great Experiment of Freedom.
So I've come to some conclusions, and they are not optimistic.

You're pretty much dead on. The Socialists and their agenda cannot be stopped peacefully, unless God sends the conservatives a true statesman who can unify them under one banner.
