the Hebrew, shaphath, actually means simply, "to give", or "bestow", or "put in place", without any "ordaining". Hence Bible versions like the NASB, NKJV, HCSB, use "establish".

you are the one who is talking complete rubbish! The Websters English dictionary tells us, that the word "ordain" means, "to establish or order by appointment, decree, or law". And the Oxford, "to order or command something; to decide something in advance". So, according to your theology, and that of the Reformed school, high crimes like, murder, rape, abuse against children and others, kidnap, etc, etc, have been "ordained" by God! THIS is the HIGHEST BLASPHEMY and HERESY against the HOLY God of the Bible!!!

But I can't help but like that you were able to interject some truth to counter her misperceptions.I have a friend on the other side of the globe who was so pleased to see evil Trump defeated. I listed what the DNC platform/party stood for and she was aghast; her media never mentioned all the evil, anti-moral, ungodly and unconstitutional positions held. She just heard that Joe was nice and Trump was abrasive over and over and over from her limited resources.
I kindly told her to use this opportunity NOT to chime in on something about which she didn't have a clue.

God is not the cause of sin. God ordains that sin and evil can take place. He orders and organizes the wickedness of man so that it fulfills his plan. This plan is often hidden to us and God is not obligated to tell us his plan.
What you are teaching is that God is weak and incapacitated by rogue molecules and events of which he is unaware. Your God is not ruler of the universe. He is not Sovereign over His creation. He doesn't hold his creation in his hand. You deny the real Jesus.

God also sends delusions into the minds of those who do not (receive) have the love of the Truth (Christ, they reject Christ) to believe the LIE so that ....they may all be destroyed who take pleasure in evil and wickedness. "Establish" is more than "allow", so my comment stands.
"Ordain" means more than "allow" but less than "causes".
God CAUSES some things.
God ALLOWS other things.
God ORDAINS all things that come to pass.
In Christ you are holy. You, yourself, are wretched, just like Joe Biden and myself. When we stand before God, it is only by Jesus substitutionary atonement that we stand in condemned.
We dare not imagine we are better than, simply because God graciously chose to redeem us. We stand only in Christ and in Christ alone.
Pray that God might graciously redeem Joe Biden and Kamala Harris that they might be found in Christ as we are.

I don't need a blooming lecture on positional righteousness. I have taught it for many, many years. My response to you was absolutely correct because you erred in a tense.
My prayers for Biden don't involve redemption. They are pretty much identical to some of David's prayers for his enemies. I really could not care less what you think about how I pray for the wicked.
