Think that yo sahould ge th Esv, but also that never rtake it to church/cell group!i dont know how i feel about the need to "hide" it.. thanks for your help
If you want to use a more contemporary version that may be closer to the KJV and thus easier to follow along during teaching and preaching services you might try the NKJV.

Or, even better, if you use a electronic device in church try the WEB. It is only available in electronic format but is an excellent translation and will make it easier to follow along.

Too bad not to be found, but 1967 Scofield was best fo this, as had word changes in margins!Really good suggestion! This way you can track with the pastor but have it in a little bit more contemporary wording.
Showing my ignorance here, but what is the RL Allen Bible? Thanks.i have a RL allen kjv i dont even read at home...but looking into buying a RL allen ESV bible.
I'm liking the LEB a lot. Wish it came in paper book form ESV still my primary translation.R.L. Allan is a publisher of high-quality Bibles in several versions.
While I use mostly the ESV, you might take a look at the Lexham English Bible. I'm liking it more and more; the ESV and the Lexham are the ones I alternate using on YouVersion and e-Sword.
Yeah, I would snap up a paper LEB in a heartbeat.I'm liking the LEB a lot. Wish it came in paper book form ESV still my primary translation.

So, just a publisher. Thanks. I thought it sounded like some kind of study Bible.
