If you will look at my registration date, you will know that I have been here a long time and have probably discussed many of these issues. If you want to know where I stand, why don't you go to the archives going back to 2000, do a search for my name, and read what I think about things. Please, however, be sure to read all five years of my posts, as I have actually changed my mind on some things. Also, be careful no to be too judgemental of me when you barely know me or anything about me. I will chalk your last post up to ignorance with a hint of arrogance to think you know what I am all about after a whole 3 months as a registered member.

I think most of our disagreements that are not doctrinal are simple language usage.

Often pride and arrogance can be read into posts that do not really possess those attitudes. At other times, myself included, pride and arrogance are present with the wisest members ignoring my prideful and arrogant post. At other times many things have already been discussed and the best thing to do is simply state what is believed and not expect all or maybe even any to agree with our beliefs.

Many times I keep my own mouth shut simply because I do not feel like arguing a point and I do not believe that much of what we love to disagree on is of eternal importance. In fact, I am almost certain that many things I have dogmatically stood for will be cause of shame when I stand before Christ.

Bob I was just curious thats all. Kind of has to do with my original post.

I really don't care what People say, I know who I am in Christ, I know how I am around others. I sure don't have this problem in my church since we all basically agree on sound doctrine. I know my husband, I and the Pastor agree on all scriptual doctrines, we had a meeting before we became members to make sure. I am very quite in church and in Bible studies. Maybe this why I enjoy this board so much. I can talk on here, who cares no one knows me. At church I just listen. Rarely giving an opinion.

Believe it or not ! Been that way for many years.

If someone can point out where I have been wrong in what I say please PM me.

Bro. Dallas,

Are you close to Camp Paron which is run by the Arkansas Baptist Convention? I understand they are housing Katrina survivors there. Have any come to your Church? Come on man...spill it. Tell us what you know. Testify. Has God opened any opportunities for you to share the Gospel with them?

As far as pride, pride may be exhibited by thinking that one's opinion, belief, or doctrine is the only possible opinion, belief, or doctrine.

Having the last word or the last post does not necessarily win the debate.
I'll second these remarks.

Okay, RFW, since you asked -- just keep in mind you opened this up for remarks.
Just because someone doesn't keep on posting after you've made points doesn't mean they think you're right. They may think it's fruitless to continue because it does seem that on some threads you like to have the last word. But that does not make you right. I'm not talking about essentials of the faith here, but the issues of babies going to heaven and stuff like that. These are things we really don't know for sure and we do not have clear teaching on.

There are lots of different views here on the BB and keep in mind that you are posting a lot in the Debate sections. When it says "debate," it means there will be disagreement. You have to accept that or else you should consider posting in the forums that are non-debate. ;)

Marcia I have NO problem with Debates.

I never said anything about people who stop posting agreeing with me

I said I think if people do agree on the essentials they should back up the one they agree with. I do that.

The thread on where do babies go I STARTED so I feel I have every right to defend it. Just like another thread I STARTED. I am the one WHO keeps getting asked the questions, so what do I do, ignor them and look like a fool who could be wrong ? Like I said I don't like talking about things I do not know alot about. Maybe thats the problem, lots of people on here who really don't know what they believe so they stop talking when they get cornered.

By the way Sample I am not mad at all. I am sitting here as calm as can be. Do not mistake my bold letters for anger. I am exagerating my point, thats all. I never yell I just feel, too many don't listen or read the written word right.

Perhaps, it would be good for those who don't know what they are talking about to stop talking and listen more. Don't you think? I am thinking this is actually a good thing.

HMMMMMMMMMMMMM...that is getting pretty personal and inappropriate. Are you sure you want to go that route? I will tell you what. I will show her this thread tommorow when she is awake so she can get a good laugh at the very thought that she has anything to be jealous of with you...ok?

RightfromWrong, Please READ Dr. Bob's post. Please read it carefully. Dr. Bob is very wise and gives good advice.

Many people quit posting, not because they are cornered, but because it is not necessary to beat a dead horse.

Just because you start a post does not mean that you have to convince everyone that you are right.

For once, I actually agree with Joseph B, it might be wise to read more.

Not at all. Go back and read my post again, and then take Dr. Bob's advice as it will save you much embarrassment.
