If you were to make a Top Three list of Bible translations, what would that list look like?

(For clarification purposes, I'm basically asking which three Bible translations would you consider to be your personal favorites.)

I can't say that I have three personal favorites. I only list KJV as a favorite. The two I refer to the most next is sort of hard to say, since it is according to what I am doing or researching. Probably NIV, as the most popular modern translation (as well as hearing Max McLean on the radio read from it most mornings). Next may be ASV, as basically the Westcott Hort revision of the KJV. (I have not found an easily accessible RV.)

NIV/TNIV

But I consult my Goodspeed, Norlie, MLB, NJB, REB, Weymouth and even the CEB among others. I only have a 1958 edition of the Phillips. I once owned the 1973 edition but it got misplaced. All of the aforementioned I physically possess. But I go to Biblegateway to check out other translations.

Think that the nas would be closer though to the originals in accurate a tad bet though.
I'm not necessarily looking for the closest to the originals. That is a subjective line anyway. But when I am doing serious study I am doing it in Logos and have the originals right there with me in a reverse interlinear. The ESV is literal enough for me.

I don't valid translations, but that one was not that good!

You are not even familiar with the NIV, seeing things that are not in the text. Why would you be considered knowledgeable enough to make a call as to what's valid or invalid? Your assertions are hollow.
