Transcript of RFK Jr.'s Speech Yesterday

For those who may not know who RFK Jr. is - he is the fella who had a worm in his brain and who thought it would be funny to take a dead bear killed by a car and place it in Central Park and make it look like it had been hit by a cyclist.

He is notoriously on the wrong side of the vaccines debate; if you don't want polio to reemerge in the United States, I suggest staying far, far away politically from RFK Jr. His anti-vaccine group, Children's Health Defense, just this year, pushed a book co-authored by Suzanne Humphries who claims that polio is not caused by a virus and that "there are no worthwhile vaccines, not even smallpox or tetanus, and certainly not the polio vaccine." - source for quote: Hiltzik: Anti-vaxxers come out in favor of polio - Los Angeles Times (latimes.com)

Lol.....yep. He planned on taking the bear home (he takes road kill home...or did....to feed his falcons).

I know a lot of people who share his concerns of vaccines. That's really not an "out there" view.

Politically, he is a Democrat (a conservative one.....but a Democrat).

I think the point was that there is a lot of truth to that particular speech.

Are there really regular, every day Americans concerned about the polio vaccine, who would rather have their children at risk of getting polio????

Yes. These people are regular, everyday Americans. They are just anti-vaccination.

Oh....you misunderstood.

I am not anti-vaccination.

But we have a large population within our nation who are. His views are not "out there" in left field. They actually are not unusual on this topic.

Again, are you saying that there are actually parents in the United States who are willing to put their children in risk of getting polio? I just asking about the polio vaccine, not any other.

Yes. Some believe the risks associated with any vacvine are not worth it because they view the polio vaccine as no longer necessary in the US. Their concerns are often birth defects and autism.

The problem with their logic is that the reason polio is not an issue here IS the vaccine.

That said, this is NOT to say these people remain unvacinated. It is to say that they believe the side effects outweigh the benefit of the vaccine.

Including the polio vaccine????
Yes.

They are concerned that the side effects outweigh the benefit of the vaccine.

Again - this doesn't mean that all don't get vaccinated. The point is the legitimately of the concern (the anti-vaccine position).

In a way, the Polio vaccines started the concerns and mistrust people have with vacvines as 220,000 people were infected due to a polio vaccine.

Many politicians are right on some things and wrong on others. Certainly JFK (Jack) was right on a number of essential doctrines.

RFK (Bobby) was right on a number of doctrines and wrong on some others.

Ditto for MLK (Marty).

When we look at the legacy of the Kennedy family, I have no problem honoring their contribution. I can remember being very upset with some of the behaviors of Teddy. His gun policy was irrational. But, as brought to my mind in prayer, perhaps I should cut him some slack, as two of his brothers were killed with guns, and another died valiantly risking his life to develop a weapon that might save lives.

The fact that RFK Jr was willing to stand up against the thuggery being utilized by the current leaders hp of the Democrat party is something we all should honor.

I liked the movie PT 409. Near the end, they show a depiction of the crew being rescued from the island. Not included in the movie, but a historical fact was the song the crew and Mr. Kennedy sang as they started on their way home. The song? Onward Christian Soldier.

1) 220,000 over how long of a period of time?

and

2) Out of how many people vaccinated?
