If I lived there I would have to own a gun. Odds are I'd accidentally shoot a hole in the neighbors car tire, which would result in my house being riddled with bullets and all of us in the house...dead.
Liberalism, flat out. You don't have a conservative bone in your body.

Maybe you should live in a rubber room.

Maybe you should live in a rubber room.
Or, go through life trusting God and not worrying about defending myself in this godless world while I am an ambassador for my King.
I know what I have gotten into as an Ambassador for my King.

Matthew 21:33-44

“Hear another parable. There was a master of a house who planted a vineyard and put a fence around it and dug a winepress in it and built a tower and leased it to tenants, and went into another country. When the season for fruit drew near, he sent his servantsto the tenants to get his fruit. And the tenants took his servants and beat one, killed another, and stoned another. Again he sent other servants, more than the first. And they did the same to them. Finally he sent his son to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’ But when the tenants saw the son, they said to themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and have his inheritance.’ And they took him and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. When therefore the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants?” They said to him, “He will put those wretches to a miserable death and let out the vineyard to other tenants who will give him the fruits in their seasons.” Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures: “‘The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; this was the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes’? Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people producing its fruits. And the one who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; and when it falls on anyone, it will crush him.”

Matthew 12:22-32

Then a demon-oppressed man who was blind and mute was brought to him, and he healed him, so that the man spoke and saw. And all the people were amazed, and said, “Can this be the Son of David?” But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, “It is only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons, that this man casts out demons.” Knowing their thoughts, he said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and no city or house divided against itself will stand. And if Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand? And if I cast out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they will be your judges. But if it is by the Spirit of God that I cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. Or how can someone enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? Then indeed he may plunder his house. Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters. Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven people, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.

If you live by the ________ you will die by the ________.

You must have missed the words "IF NECESSARY" or perhaps you just ignored them. But your quote really does apply for the criminal that runs into someone that has and knows how to use a weapon/gun.

Austin you seem to think that your opinion is the only point of view that matters. Your use or should I say misuse of scripture to support your view may work for you but not for anyone else. Remember you are the one that said let your conscience be you guide. Perhaps you should take your own advice?

Your motto seems to be "I am willing to accept any view as long as it agrees with mine."

Be subject for the Lord’s sake to every human institution, whether it be to the emperor as supreme, or to governors as sent by him to punish those who do evil and to praise those who do good. For this is the will of God, that by doing good you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish people. Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God. Honor everyone. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the emperor.
~ 1 Peter 2:13-17
Sure. God, who does not change and is the same yesterday, today, and forever, examples that all through the Old Testament.

I do not deny that God is the Supreme Government and has all authority to kill us wretched rebels and cast us into the Lake of Fire.
You, as an individual, however, are never given that authorization.

What you are doing is called vigilantism and God never supports vigilantes.
