I disagree. It did nothing to prevent a future gas attack or further genocide as Assad remains in power. Fuel and ammo can easily be replaced by Russia and they still have plenty of planes left.
Ok, they have 30 planes left they say. So Assad launches another chemical attack and we take out the rest. Its a progression, did you want an all out annihilation of their forces? We can do that. Not sure the Lefties would like it, but I'm ok with it.

I want a push to get rid of Assad. I real push. Not waste millions of dollars on something that won't prevent another gas attack. One is all it should take, especially considering this has already happened in the past.

I want a return on my investment for using that kind of munitions. Didn't happen. No coherent follow on policy. Just knee jerk reaction.

Well, I think the Syrian situation is a mess and any solution is far from ideal. If you go against Assad, there will be endless civil wars and some Islamic faction will take place in power but supporting Assad against the Islamists, you really are playing right into Russia and Iran's hands.

Can't blockade them, guess you could go in there and assassinate Assad but then whoever replaces him is going to end up being a jackboot too, else the country will collapse altogether.

I wonder if Trump's actions weren't a signal to North Korea and China not to yank his chain but he did do a 180 ("evolving"). Don't want ISIS to have territorial state over there, don't want a failed state next to Iraq, don't want a gadzillion more refugees flooding Europe, don't wait to reinforce Putin and Iran's stranglehold in the region, if we intervene, need a clear concept to where it could lead to.

Isn't that decision up to God? If you want the USA to do it, pray that is God's plan that it gets done.
