Are you sure the NFL is making a claim of "almost unlimited free speech" or is it Limbaugh up to his usual technique of claiming someone said something and then refuting it?

The NFL has taken no action because they view kneeling as exercise of free speech.

When do we expect the NFL to apologize to Tebow for banning his free-speech kneeling?

Yeah, this has been my point from the beginning. Tebow caught all kinds of mockery and criticism from the Left for kneeling. Now, that a group of thugs is doing it, they're considered heroes.

Then they're just another group of Leftist hypocrites, as their own rules say that players are to stand for the anthem, or face discipline.
They are a bunch of Communists. I can't tell you how many years its been since I watched a game.

I'll do the same thing I do every year. Ignore most of the NFL season, then root for the Patriots in the Super Bowl.

I was a pretty staunch Eagles' fan up until they hired Michael Vick. Then, my love for the team waned. It was just starting to come back when this happened.

Until then, I'll keep watching my Auburn Tigers. I'll probably watch an Eagles' game or two, but I don't think I'll really care until the post-season.

I hate to defend the NFL as I've given up on them, but it's not a rule, it's a policy, though the distinction is hardly worth discussing.

I hate defending the NFL, but here goes--There is a rule prohibiting "excessive celebration" during the game. That is what the NFL enforced against Tebow. There is no rule against kneeling on the sidelines.

Free speech that they can curtail at the workplace at any time. For some reason they don't want to and i think they are making a mistake because the ticket paying and consuming general public holds the aces in this game. If the public turns against them, they will change their tune.

But the public won't. Watching football is more important to them than our country and those who have sacrificed for it.

It is Rome's "bread and circuses" all over again.

I both think you're wrong, and hope you're wrong. It wouldn't surprise me, but hoping this country isn't turning such a drastic corner just yet. If they are, I'm sure the Church will follow, as this Church generation doesn't lead in anything anymore.

Some more headlines. As I mentioned, this was a bold move by Trump. This is a hurricane just getting wound up. It's going to expose the hearts of many in our country, including those in the Church. So far, the country is siding with patriotism.

They will tune out. The NFL is absolutely hemorrhaging money. Started two seasons ago.

I quit watching my team, the Vikings, when Adrian Peterson beat up his 4 year old son with a switch. The Vikings did nothing until corporate sponsors started bailing out on them. Then they benched Peterson. All sorts of unseemly stuff came out about Peterson--he's had seven children by five women. One of his kids, who he didn't even know he had fathered, was murdered. He had sex orgies with other women while engaged to his (now) wife. On and on it went.

Players are beating up their wives and girlfriends, doing drugs, getting in fights, etc. Player sustain concussions then succumb to brain disease later in life. It's somewhat morbid.

The game the NFL has put on the field is mostly boring nowadays. The unrelentless commercials during TV games is crushing. Coaches challenges and reviews of plays have chopped up the momentum of play. The games are lasting longer and longer because of commercials and in-game delays. No one can give a definitive definition of what pass interference is. Spearing is another penalty that is totally subjective. Quarterbacks are protected and coddled like fine china.

The game is a mess. I'm with you. I watch the Super Bowl and that's about it.

They are Kapernick's Team now, never did care for Jerry Jones after my parents told me about the way he did Tom Landry, Jerry couldn't hold a candle to him.

And this is just another fall for the NFL but it was hard to believe the Cowboys did this - Dallas was where all those cops got killed by BLM. And the locking of arms by the Cardinals and other teams was stupid, too, so they are showing "unity" and don't have to put their hands on their hearts. Unity against what, Donald Trump?

They deserved to be booed. Personally, I'm going to see what happens from here, the thug behavior off-field (and on) is a big turnoff, check out the Browns for the worst of the worst.

There dose seem to be great unity against Trump in the Media and Celebrity world. But what heartens me is, it doesn't seem to be working. They're not winning the hearts and minds of the country, at least not yet.

I'm very curious though, where the pop Christian leaders are going to come down on this. The Lucados the Pipers the Kellers, the rock stars of the modern evangelical Church. I don't think they're advocates of patriotism either. I've heard multiculturalism and globalism touted and nationalism bashed in my Church (by a missionary, but no rebukes to my knowledge).

Very well could blow up right in the face of the NFL, and I always thought kneeling for for God and for medieval kings maybe:
