Seriously?
Yes.

You think one of the most popular Presidents in recent history regardless of his scandals was gonna have a problem getting a mortgage against his future earnings?
The Clintons were over $5 million in debt, but were able to buy after Terry McAuliffe personally secured the loan.

They needed a co-signer? :D:D:D

Good answer. He turned out to be less philanthropic than he had previously claimed.

In 2010, Gupta was charged along with two other employees of Infogroup for "their roles in a scheme in which the CEO funneled illegal compensation to himself in the form of perks worth millions of dollars." The SEC said he used $9.5 million in corporate funds for personal gain and his "lavish lifestyle". The three later settled with the SEC without admitting wrongdoing. He paid $7.4 million in fines and penalties and agreed to be barred from serving as an officer or director of a public company.

Precisely my point. That's why they tried to break all ties with him. Now you talk about crooked. Gupta was a mess. You raise 53 million and like you said, what happened to the rest? Greediness from Gupta.

They backed out of the arrangement with McAuliffe after public interest groups said it smelled like an illegal gift. They were able to get their own financing for the homes.

They've earned a combined $153 million in speaking fees since 2001. Bill Clinton charges hundreds of thousands for a speech. Banks readily knew this and knew that as an exiting President, Bill and Hillary Clinton would make in a month or two, more than enough to pay the mortgage on that house out right.

Political harassment. The NY AG is a friend and supporter of Hillary.

Washington Post reporter David Fahrenthold has been doing a series of exposes on the Trump Foundation, and Trump charitable giving. He's unearthed a lot of questionable activities. It turns out that Trump Foundation is not registered in New York. This is not something the NY attorney general went seeking, this is something that the Washington Post discovered and published.

Call it harassment of Trump by WaPo if you like (they are guilty of it), but once it comes to the attention of the attorney general they ought to do something about it. I would hope you would agree.
