Trump - Kim Summit

So Christians were wrong to fight the Japanese and the Nazi's in WW2?

The draft ended about 6 months before I turned 18 in 1973, so I never had to make a personal decision about that subject. There are compelling arguments for both sides as to whether Christians should fight in secular wars. But never had to choose when I was of draft or volunteer age.

Policy wise, both social and fiscal, Trump is actually more conservative than Reagan. Especially when you factor in immigration policy which Reagan, frankly, dropped the ball.

In fact, I'm now hearing conservatives admit that reciprocal tariffs really are the only way to fight tariffs against us.
Oh yea, site just who you are hearing that from?

And we say we are a Christian nation. We abhor & denigrate welfare for the poor, but hardly bat an eyelash at funding and bailing out corporations, bankers and military systems.
Are you speaking for yourself? Not I, I was/am thankful as my mother spent quite a few years on welfare.

Also, we are a capitalist nation; banks, many corporations and military systems support and protect our society.

I am, as its the Dems and fake news liberals that are stuck being back on the messianic Age to them of the Black messiah, president Obama!
That’s all you got, reference to BO? I’m personally a far right conservative and nobody of my ilk would ever support clowns like the Clintons or Obama but now I’m seeing Peter Navarro (a left wing democrat) put in motion trade policy and Trump is supporting it. Geese, these guys are all over the boards with trial balloon policies that insure cost of goods increases across the board, Brilliant !!!

Yea, all those banksters were looking out for the working class in 2007-2008 ... while the little guy was getting fired they got Millions in bonuses. Wise up Hank, the whole system is skewed to protect those at the top at all cost. In fact, it’s to protect the system itself, because the system is our goal.

the system is our life's blood, that's why so many are trying to topple our capitalist society.

N. Korea would be a good ally. A relationship with them would put China in panic mode.

Not likely to happen. China has already jumped the gun and say she may lift sanctions which seemed only to be lightly imposed.

Watching France 24 news service yesterday, a commentator said NK had promised more than that in the past and always broken their promise.

I think Kim won the day. Getting on the world stage and shaking hands with the president.

Fat boy is losing control of N. Korea. The underground is destabilizing his government. He is looking for opportunity to open up yet remain in control.

I wasn't asking specifically about you, but generally. The quoted Scripture said those who would resist those placed in power over us "will incur judgement". So in regards to that statement, can the Christian fight the powers that be if they are evil? How literally do you take the Bible?

Through prayer and spreading the gospel - absolutely. As far as killing people in the military of one government at the behest of the military of another government, I have never made a definitive conclusion about that since I never had to personally decide.
