Trump Orders Strikes on Syria

The exact truth will probably never be know.

Of course all voices are shouting their version of the truth.

One truth: President Trump did this with the help of GB and France, thank you for your assistance.

Another truth: War is hell (on earth).

The number of intercepts is probably a minor point depending on the mission statement and if it was met.

My opinion FWIW: The Russian intercept missiles (whoever launched them) :They launched 72 intercepts, 60 were successful bringing down about half of the allied missiles.

Now we must wait and see if this is the precursor of WWIII.

We need to be in prayer, though I believe WWIII is the inevitable war of humankind's history (of course that was said of WWI) that if possible we have peace in our day.

Speak softly but carry a big stick?
Of course TR had no idea of "TWEETs".

I guess President Trump has a different philosophy. One that is necessary in this world of bullies IMO.

I can't stop laughing after reading this comment! :Roflmao

The SPINELESS "leaders" that we have here in the UK, have always been "poodles" of the US, which they call "the special relationship"! France goes along with the US, because they now believe that they, and not the UK, have this "special relationship" with the US!!! The US needs to "look good" in the world, so they turn to the FOOLS of Europe to give them come credibility in the world. It is all one big game, using smoke and mirrors. :D

Yes, I myself am getting a bit tired of us being the worlds policeman, and in this case the Air Force for the rebel groups that are largely Islamist. Enough already, we are 21 trillion dollars in debt and our military is stretched thin - it's time to regroup. Sure Assad is not a nice guy, but is it our responsibility to take him to task even if it was him who did the chemical attack?

Indeed. How comes the world did NOTHING when that THUG, Robert Mugabe, MURDERED many hundreds of white farmers and starved his own people literally to death? To see how evil and two-faced the "west" really is, Mrs Thatcher, when PM here in the UK, gave this CREEP Mugabe an award just after he had butchered some souls!

NOTHING is done against Saudi Arabia, and China who have the worst human rights record, along with Turkey, who has Hitler II in power???. I could go on and on...

And exactly WHAT gives the USA the right to do this? Can you guys NEVER learn from history? After similar action in Iraq and Libya, both countries are 1000 times WORSE than before! US policies in Iraq gave rise to IS, who murdered 1000's. Again, like the LIES about WMD by Bush, Trump has attacked another country without any real EVIDENCE.

I hope BB is not again going to delete this comment, because it says some painful TRUTH about the USA
So when we have the ability to stop chemical weapons being used, we should just ignore it? When North Korea gets to place mad man can lauch his Nukes on us, just ignore it, same way when iran gets the nuke?
Are you advocating for a neville Chamberlein approach now to Hitler?

IMO the next 48 hours will pass before the smoke settles from this act upon the stage of global war.

Alliances (if it comes to that) will be evident.

Then what?

I don’t think people get the seriousness of chemical WMD and how quickly it could get out of hand if it were tolerated. Leaving it to someone else who is incapable of being a strict deterrence on their own would be incompetence. To deny it our problem wherever it begins to evolve in the world is also incompetence.

Syria got off easy if this is all they get for their action. Common sense points to the perpetrator(s) and the focus of the strike totally appropriate by any rational standard.

you mean like the "common sense" for when the WMD's were supposed to have been in Iraq under Bush?

SBG Its Communism vs Capitalism it's not DT vs Assad,

Humanly speaking Its President Trump versus President Putin or Thomas Jefferson vs Karl Marx.

Problem: President Putin has a weak government - the USSR is a thing of the past.

He will probably choose to wait until he puts Humpty Dumpsky USSR egg back together again to release the Bear.

He can't trust China. Communist China and Russia are not the best of friends - China has its own tyrannical goals.
But, they may form an alliance if all else fails.

Well, aren't the Europeans affected as much as we are? They are of course closer to the Middle East. It's time they gear up and get in the game and Germany in particular has lot's of money, why not them?
Germany was too afraid to go out at night during the Iraq dust up... they would never agree to it. Maybe Justin T from Canada could show some gratis. Didn’t they say they would take in all the Syrian refugees we didn’t want?

First, common sense, and some basic knowledge of critical thinking skills, would lead you to understand your red herring doesn't demonstrate one word I said to be false.

Second, the "focus of the strike totally appropriate by any rational standard" is because it was solely against chemical storage facilities and develop facilities of these weapons.

Third, the town has been totally surrounded and it clearly common sense which only leaves one option as to the perpetrator(s) and there is no doubt chemical attack loving Russia is lying about the event. ...You want to know how I can be sure they are lying? ...Their lips are moving... ;)
