Really.....my father died when I was 12. I had an older sister who was Cerebral Palsy & a 7 yo brother. Who provided for us?
Maybe you want to ask Paul Ryan that question.....& who payed for his education.
Sorry for your hardships - however as Scripture teaches no one is immune to hardships and it is Christ one is to seek for relief from hardships...for his comfort DURING a hardship...for his trust a hardship can be overcome...for those WHO are willing to aid you.
Matthew 25:35-46
'For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.' "Then the righteous will answer Him, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink?
Very good. Did you notice, that teaching has ZERO to do with a government?....and EVERYTHING to do with an "individual" who WILLINGLY gave?
PUNCH LINES:
39 'When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?' 40 "The King will answer and say to them, 'Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.' 41 "Then He will also say to those on His left, 'Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels;
Caveat.... "to one of these brothers of Mine".
If you do not KNOW WHO, Christ's brothers are....How do you extend to them what Christ taught?
IS he without FAITH, a brother of Christ's?
IS he who is worse than an infidel, worse than a non-believer, who is NOT taking care of his own, a brother of Christ's?
I am very familiar with the scriptures you quoted and the understanding thereof.
They have NOTHING whatsoever to do with a Government providing for the people or people providing for able bodied people as a LIFE LONG dependent.
There is a huge difference between "helping someone temporarily" and "someone becoming a life-long burden".
