I already did in my first statement. To be antichrist is to be opposite of Christ. How can an antichrist have salvation if they are the opposite of Christ? You stated reformers and such through the ages, so those who do not follow catholic teaching follow someone else, correct? If they follow 'reformers', they must be following antichrist as well and must have the spirit of antichrist in them. So if you are not a part of the catholic church, one must be antichrist, thus not saved.

Is this universal?

Is this dogma? Doctrine? Some believe it, others don't?

What is the deal?

Lets reword it a little so it is not attacking anyone and everyone can join in without always feeling like they are on the defense.

The idea that Mary is the Spouse of the Holy Spirit, Is this in the scriptures? Is this just based on some Man's interpretation of doctrine, or God given doctrine? Using scripture show how you arrive at your answer.

Thanks for the good advise Sherrie, I hope we can all follow it. Also thanks to whoever clicked on the moderator alert button. I am enjoying looking in on this forum which is new to me but it is so fast and furious I will really appreciate any help I can get in keeping the peace. Having tuned in late I don't claim to know who is right and who is wrong but I can see several who should be ashamed of the things they have said. I have two suggestions. #1 follow one of the Webmasters simple posting rules which states that we must show grace to other posters and no personal attacks will be permitted and #2 To save bandwidth space please don't post an entire quote unless you plan to speak to each point someone has posted, this also will help a newcomer like myself cut thru all the fluff and concentrate on who is causing the trouble. And here is the KICKER. That Angel is going to TELL him WHO the woman is, and the beast.

It WAS, is NOT, but yet IS. So it was THERE when John was there.

9. And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.

HERE is wisdom. The woman SITS on 7 mountains. Any high school graduate can tell you what city sits on 7 hills. Rome.

10. And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.

This verse alone would take several pages up, so I will skip it for now. It is referring to the history of worldwide power from Babylon to Rome.

11. And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.

The 8th is the Beast. He goes into perdition.

12. And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.

The Roman empire was conquered and was divided into 13 states. 3 of them were 'plucked up' by Rome, (this is from Daniel) and 10 are what was left.

13. These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.

They are still one power though, under the banner of the Beast. The Papacy in Rome.

14. These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

This hasn't happened yet.

15. And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.

Here we see, she is in the midst of MANY people. The whole world. Catholic. Universal. Sitting invisible.

16. And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.

This happened, the destruction of Rome, and the Pope being taken captive by Napolean in 1798. Ending the Dark Ages. AND mortally wounding 'one of the heads'.

17. For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

God is the one who did this.

18. And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

The Great City that REIGNS over the Kings. Who was the FIRST person that President Bush contacted for counsel after 9/11?

The Pope.

Where is he?

Vatican City

Who are we? The Church, the Bride of Christ. WE are A WOMAN.

The Apostate, system of religion that sits on 7 hills, and arose out of Rome, is TOO a woman, and is an adulterous woman. A church. She does not worship God, and God alone. She has other lovers.

Welcome to the thread Murphy, sorry you had to wade through all of this. People seem to take it really personal when you argue with them about their beliefs.

Back to the TOPIC of this thread.

In order for Mary to be the 'spouse' of the Holy Spirit, the 'Trinity' must be broken up to form 3 separate Gods.

She cannot be married to her own Son.

That is the first problem.

The other, she was already married to Joseph.

Mary was 'espoused' to Joseph and he TOOK her to him. He didn't 'know' her UNTIL she gave birth to Jesus.

So, since she cannot be married to her own Son, and I am certain that no Catholics want to break up the Godhead to suit this doctrine, something has got to give.

There are 7 mountains in Rome. Gee I thought Rome was on 7 hills. No mater, Vatican City is not a part of Rome as it is it's own nation and does not sit on any of the 7 hills of Rome, but is on it's own hill. The hill the Vatican sits on is across the Tiber from the seven hills of Rome so unforutantely it does not fit this one. I would discuss more of the above but if one does not fit one then what is the point since the whole interpruation is false. It's kind of an all or nothing thing.

You seem to have ignored my question about why you use the bible if you think the whore in Revelation is the Catholic Church.

This is really off topic, but since you pointed that out, I will respond. It says that She SITS on seven Mountains. The Mountains are ROME. She is 'sit'uated IN Rome.

The ROMAN Catholic Church is IN the Vatican City IN Rome (which IS a city also).

But back to the topic.
