Hey CTB,
Are you saying it is OK to support the Democrat Party, acknowledging the evil and immorality that they openly embrace as a platform, because the Republican Party is also immoral? Or are you saying we shouldn’t support either? If the latter, then I see your point.

I am saying we have to choose between parties. Abortion is the law of the land whether I like it or not. It has been reviewed by the SC more than any case in our history and left to stand.

The GOP is trying to roll back to another age many programs that benefit the poor, the elderly, children, and people injured on the job. I oppose this attack on the living.

So, I am against abortion I recognize there is little or nothing I can do about it. So I side with the politicians, flawed as they are, are want to help the poor, the elderly, children and people injured on the job.

Thus, I say I am pro-life. I am against abortion and am also in favor of helping the living who need help. That is a view not shared by all and I do not consider them pro-life. They are pro-birth, but seem to care nothing about that child once they are born.

We have to pick and select our fights. There is no future in spitting into the wind. Select the fights there is a chance of winning.

Well, of course, the US Constitution is not a living document and there is no right of privacy in the US Constitution and there certainly is no right for the US government to execute a citizen without due process. The government cannot say that it has a right to execute a whole category of citizens. The Germans tried that by making it legal within their country to do what was best to improve the country and the US Supreme Court followed suit.

Nevertheless, the GOP, at Reagan's insistence, put a plank in the GOP platform calling for a constitutional amendment to protect the life of all unborn children. This has been vigorously opposed by both the Democrats and Libertarians.

The Democrats say that the government does have the right to execute people based upon category and that all government efforts after the bloodletting should be to help those who vote Democrat or who are truly poor. The Democrats see nothing wrong with abortions and they say that the mother has the legal right to put the child to death and the Democrats have put that in their platform. But then the Democrats of the 19th century said that human beings were property and the Democrats owned human beings. And to this day, you never hear a Democrat say that he is an abolitionist because a Democrat recognizes the right of Islamic states to own human beings.

The problem for me is that I believe choosing a party is advocating the party's platform (I believe we will be held accountable for supporting evil, even if we believe it is for a "greater good"). I cannot support a party that is clearly opposed to God, and at the same time I realize that there is no such thing as a "Christian" political party. There is always the option of not choosing between parties (an un-cast vote is not necessarily a wasted vote, IMHO). But as far as the OP, I cannot fathom a Christian voting to support the Democratic Party's platform. Perhaps the Republican Party is just as bad, but that doesn't justify support for its opposition.

The rider to the bill does nothing, sadly, to stop or hinder abortion but YOU CRABTOWNBOY and most democrats have sold your soul to support BAAL'S altar for the slaughter of the unborn child. That word itself, 'ABORTION', has become sacred to you and the democrats! In the 2012 nominating convention for the Abortionist in Chief part of one evening celebrated the slaughter of the unborn!

So enough of your pious nonsense, Crabby. You insist that you are pro life but your continual posting of praise for the democrat party of death is evidence to the contrary.

It was made law by seven black robed men like you Crabby.

The GOP is trying to roll back to another age many programs that benefit the poor, the elderly, children, and people injured on the job. I oppose this attack on the living.
The Republicans are trying to prevent the country from going bankrupt under democrat policies to buy votes and create a plantation mentality among certain groups.

So, I am against abortion I recognize there is little or nothing I can do about it. So I side with the politicians, flawed as they are, are want to help the poor, the elderly, children and people injured on the job.
That is a cop out. If the democrats really wanted to help the poor they would adopt policies that benefit the economy. Instead they pursue policies that create a plantation mentality among the poor, all to get their votes. In the south prior to the emergence of the Republican party democrats used to bus people to the polls to get their vote.

Thus, I say I am pro-life.
You say that to cover your guilty conscience. You will stand before God just like those seven black robed men will.

I am against abortion and am also in favor of helping the living who need help. That is a view not shared by all and I do not consider them pro-life.
It is plainly stupid to say that people do not want to help the poor because they are in favor of following the Constitution. There are more super rich people in the democrat party than the Republican Party. How did the Clintons get their money, Crabby. What did Hillary give away while traveling a million miles on the taxpayers money to collect funds for the Clinton Foundation.

They are pro-birth, but seem to care nothing about that child once they are born.
The same endless nonsense you have been peddling for years. I suppose it makes your conscience feel good since you are such a rabid supporter of the party of death.

We have to pick and select our fights. There is no future in spitting into the wind. Select the fights there is a chance of winning.
And you always come down on the side of the party of death, even when as shown by a number of people that the law in question does nothing to hinder abortion. It simple prevents spending taxpayer money to fund the slaughter of the unborn child.

The Democrats say that black lives matter but not if they are unborn black babies or if they live in places like Ferguson where Holder and Obama have caused an increase of black on black crime. Democrats never speak against the abortion of black babies.

Hmm, I really do not remember ever being a Supreme Court justice.

The Republicans are trying to prevent the country from going bankrupt under democrat policies to buy votes and create a plantation mentality among certain groups.

The Republicans are trying to put minorities back on their plantation.

Not as long as the GOP blocks everything and insists on killing even good bills like the anti-trafficking bill.

You say that to cover your guilty conscience. You will stand before God just like those seven black robed men will.

I am very comfortable with my relationship with God. He has been amazing in helping me this past year. It has really been amazing.

So the Constitution trumps the teaching of Christ. I don't think so.

GOP didn't kill the bill. They may have "poisoned" it (I personally don't think so); but if the bill doesn't pass, it will be both GOP and Dems who decided not to vote for it, and are equally to blame for killing it.

Mitt Romney

I cannot support a party that is clearly opposed to God,

GOP and Mitt Romney and the Dems and whoever

and at the same time I realize that there is no such thing as a "Christian" political party.

But Christians still shouldn't fold to support a "greater good" that is STILL evil.

My stance is that if your candidate is against Christ, or supports that which is against Christ, he /she can't have my support.

I believe the way to change the nation is not electing the right guy, but pointing more people to the Right GUY, Jesus Christ.

The Body has taken its eyes off Christ and is attempting to right the proverbial ship through politics instead of through Christ.

Do Republicans ever speak against the murder of black adults or teens?

And stop the foolishness because nobody except racially prejudiced folks who don't like two black men being in power think Obama and Holder have caused an increase in Black on Black crime.

Did Bush and John Ashcroft cause an increase in White on White crime?

I care less about the individual candidate’s personal beliefs as he runs for a secular position than I do his platform (those policies that the candidate will implement). I would vote for an atheist who would implement policies that align with biblical principles before I would support a Christian who would compromise those principles.

I’ll admit at the onset that I am a pessimist. I don’t believe that we will change the nation but I agree that we should point more people to Christ. Nations are secular and worldly and it should be the position of the Church to involve itself with Kingdom business rather than playing politics.
The Body has taken its eyes off Christ and is attempting to right the proverbial ship through politics instead of through Christ.
I agree.

I couldn't do it. Who a President REALLY is has a way of influencing the culture whether or not it's a platform issue.

I believe Barack Obama is a Muslim and that his personal beliefs have influenced millions away from Christ.

I know Mitt Romney is a Mormon. And I believe that his personal beliefs too would have influenced millions away from Christ.

It's when we try to mix secular positions with Biblical conviction that we create confusion for those watching. And where there is confusion, there is no Christ.

I’ll admit at the onset that I am a pessimist. I don’t believe that we will change the nation but I agree that we should point more people to Christ.

Jesus Christ is the ONLY thing that can change a nation for the good. We're not the wealthiest nation in the world because of politicians or political parties. We have not been blessed of God because of politics. But rather because this nation was founded with a large inhabitant of folks who really praised and worshiped Him and attempted to live lives of obedience that were pleasing in His sight.

Today Christians are more concerned with stopping abortion and same sex marriage via the law than we are of changing hearts via the GOSPEL and having people turn from these wicked things. A lot of us are more concerned with winning the argument than we are with just loving people to Christ.

The more Christians there are who are really living for Christ, the less such wickedness will sustain itself as the love of Christ would destroy it.

But because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold. We in the church are abounding in wickedness and that's why there is so little love coming out of the church to make a substantial difference.

And when we are more of a detriment to the condition of society than we are an encouragement towards Christ, He will get us out of the way via the Rapture and finish things up with the Jews.

You don't believe there will be a rapturing of the Church?

No one on this BB has ever given a definitive Scripture showing that the Church is taken out before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. Neither can they honestly refute the teaching in John 5:28, 29 of a general resurrection and judgment.

John 5:28, 29
28. Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
29. And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

Yes they do, particularly the epidemic of drive by murders in Obummer's home town, particularly the murder of children.

And stop the foolishness because nobody except racially prejudiced folks who don't like two black men being in power think Obama and Holder have caused an increase in Black on Black crime.
Sounds like you are a black racist Zaac!
