UK Police Hunt Down Citizens for Speaking Out Against Grooming Gangs

Real question? Why is an Anglican so active on a an American Baptist forum?

Second question, how do you feel about the collapse of the Church of England? Islam in England now has more regular attendees.

Muslim Britain: More people attend mosques than Church of England.

Londonistan: 423 New Mosques; 500 Closed Churches

Church of England collapse strengthens the case for a secular UK

Muslims Outnumber Christians in More Than 30 Church Schools

It's cool though....its not at all like they have a history of invading countries and taking over. I'm sure they will never force someone to convert to their religion. It would be racist to think so.

Muslim population of the UK could triple to 13m following 'record' influx (That's known pop- not counting illegal immigration btw)

It's a criminal offence here (and has been for many many years; this is scarcely a 'new thing' so not sure why y'all are getting so exercised about it) to threaten, incite or otherwise encourage others to commit a crime including a crime of violence. That's what the police (going back to the OP) are worried about: that individuals going round saying the likes of "all Muslims are kiddie-fiddlers and rapists" is more likely to result in a crime of violence being committed against a Muslim.

I live in the UK, and I am arrested for saying, "All Muslims are kiddie-fiddlers and rapists". As my attorney, how do you defend me? What's your argument in my defense?

I was Baptist when I joined 15 years ago.

Thats a failure of evangelism on the part of pretty much all the churches here since WW2

Looks the Police don't have the guts to do anything but blame the victims:

Police officers investigating the Telford grooming gang scandal, possibly the largest in UK history, were sent an internal memo telling them “in most cases the sex is consensual”.
The initial police probe, Operation Chalice, identified at least 100 potential victims in Telford targeted between 2007 and 2009. However, fewer than ten men were jailed despite the police admitting as many as 200 groomers may be involved. 'Despicable': Police Memo Said Telford Girls 'Consented' to Sex Abuse with Groomers

Within a decade, they will be an Islamic state. All their generosity will then be repaid handsomely, I’m sure. Don’t suck up to Trump then for help. Maybe Obama can make you a new playlist for your IPods of his greatest hits & speeches, the cover will be of him accepting the Nobel Peace prize. Enjoy!

The insane thing is, they welcome and even demand their own destruction. They remind of the people who demanded, "Give us Barabbas!"

Then they are ignorant of the law. Even the statement (assuming it is indeed from the Met, of which you have adduced no evidence) is contradictory: they say on the one hand that it's not against the law (in which case no offence has been committed) but then in the same breath talk about charging them (which they can only do if an offence has been committed ); which is it?

I'd have had a field day with them in court.

I'm sorry you find it funny: this is real life to the victims.

Commenting on your links: the Met policy document is just that - a list of recommendations. I note however in all the links you are missing the elephant in the drawing room: there has to be a crime (as generally defined) first for there to be a hate crime. Therefore there has to be an act of violence, a threat, verbal abuse causing the victim to be in fear eg: " we're coming to get you, your time is up". That's been well established in English criminal law for decades at least, so I don't know why you're getting so het up about it. What has changed recently is that if, and only if a crime has been committed according to these well established criminal justice principles and there is found by a court to be a racially or religiously motivated reason for that crime, that is treated as an aggravating factor. It does not in and of itself constitute a crime So if, for example, someone punched or threatened a Christian street evangelist whilst shouting "I hate Christians " , that religious hatred would be an aggravating feature of the crime; merely shouting "I hate Christians" whilst doing nothing else would not be a crime.

I quoted you on what type of speech would be against the law. Why has that now changed?

Do you mistype an entire paragraph?

No i didn't

Nothing has changed. It's been an offence for many a long year to threaten someone. It's never been an offence and still isn't to say a particular religion is false.

Not sure why you're not getting this other than wilful or invincible ignorance.

I quoted you. You told me what an offense was. Now you have flip-flopped.
