I find the idea of people calling themselves "Christians" denying the plain truth of scripture as vile.
Assuming that is directed at me, I can assure you that I don't deny the truth of Scripture.

Just vile interpretations of it. I hope you don't subscribe to one of those.

You welcome them. Man up to it.
Welcome whom? Nazis? No thanks..you can keep your own in Charlottesville and add Yaxley-Lennon to your little collection of far right wingnuts. Please take him....because decent, civilised Christians don't want him

When? The ABH? The drugs? The beating his girlfriend? The mortgage fraud? When is enough enough? You tell me where the red line of a custodial sentence should be drawn
In this instance, What crime was he jailed for?

No. Stop playing that stupid game. It does you no credit and bankrupted whatever argument you think you have

Your 'argument' is basically: "Because you don't like smallpox, you must prefer AIDS".

Absolutely absurd.

Of course, smallpox is extinct. But, then again, we thought that of Nazism. Sadly, it seems it has been resurrected like a macabre deadly zombie in both your country and mine...and possibly has infected certain individuals on this board, regrettably, with its vile humours. You could of course disabuse me of this fear by unequivocally denouncing Yaxley-Lennon and the odious ideology for which he stands and against which our grandfathers fought nobly and sacrificially some 75 years ago and thus show yourself to be a real Christian

Criminal or Civil? The information being reported is civil contempt.
From Wikipedia:

Criminal contempt of court
The Crown Court is a superior court of recordunder the Senior Courts Act 1981 and accordingly has power to punish for contempt of its own motion. The Divisional Court has stated that this power applies in three circumstances:

  1. Contempt "in the face of the court" (not to be taken literally; the judge does not need to see it, provided it took place within the court precincts or relates to a case currently before that court);
  2. Disobedience of a court order; and
  3. Breaches of undertakings to the court.
Where it is necessary to act quickly the judge (even the trial judge) may act to sentence for contempt.

Yaxley-Lennon, knowingly and deliberately (by his own admission) fell foul of # 1 and #2

People have a right to be a Nazi if they so choose. The problem is the Nazis are already within the borders. You welcome the Islamic terrorists with open arms.
Should you deny a NAZI basic human rights?

He did not commit a crime. He posted facts to Facebook his attorney says he can prove were already in the public domain.

what a mess this whole thing is - can't see how the UK doesn't find him guilty after he admitted he had been in contempt:

Tommy Robinson jailed after breaking contempt of court laws

he claims he didn't understand or admit, now he's free on bail awaiting the retrial. This whole idea of not reporting on an ongoing trial is weird to Americans, with courtTV and all.

I thought he dropped the old name to protect his family and friends, but it looks like he did it to honor some soccer team. Just FTR, he wasn't "beating his girlfriend", she was another druggie with the same political bent:

Evidence of Bad Character

It turns out that the UK lied to the world. The Canadians are part of the legal effort. Do you look for a lawsuit against the UK for human rights violations? Tommy Robinson just might win millions of pounds for what the UK did to him for political reasons. He has said that the police told him that he could broadcast the BBC article and then arrested him for it. I wonder if May can survive this scandal of prison abuse?

Mixing a prisoner's food with body fluids and throwing feces and spitting in a prisoner's window may be par for the course in UK prisons. Then you do not allow a prisoner to buy food at the prison commisary, which is probably a law, also, in the UK. Of couse, you do not expect kindness from Islam, which is their religious law towards us Kaffirs. Under civilized law, the UK would have to compensate Tommy Robinson a few million pounds.
