Great, I’ll give up street ministry as well. Go full time with the hunting and fishing, leave everything for The Holy Spirit to do.
Won’t talk about Jesus or the Gospel or pray over people, won’t feed the hungry, won’t visit aged care or hospital.

Thanks mate, your good counsel has saved me a lot of bother. Really appreciate it.

I’m ready to be a real Christian like you. I might even take up golf with all the spare time.
You are works based not trusting in the Lord to do what He has promised to do so continue to proselytize, see how far it gets you, especially as a Roman Catholic. You sure are making great strides with the bretheren in the BB (not).

Proselytize? I’m just disabusing people of the satanic or demonic, pagan and idolatry charges people keep accusing Catholics of. If we could at least get to that level ground, I’d be happy just talking about the inner life like I normally do.

I’m trying to show it’s at least not satanic or pagan but has deep Jewish and Christian roots, and good reasons for its beliefs.

No, love based. Unless our faith works through Love, there is no salvation.

I have healed others but only as an instrument of Christ, He is The Living Love that acts through us.

Jesus sees people’s whole life, not just what is in front of Him.

The horrible and unlovable characters we meet in street ministry weren’t always horrible and unlovable.
Some I have seen as wounded children holding out their arms to be truly loved, it’s strange but has happened many times.

I have seen Jesus suffering face on a drug addict.

When you ask Jesus to see with His eyes and understand with His ears and think with His thoughts, you see, hear, and think very differently.

Our works by themselves are nothing, but Jesus works done through us are Eternal and bear fruit Eternally.

“Without me, you can do nothing.”

When Jesus Love fills us, it’s Jesus filling us.

Denying self is the beginning, this is making room for Christ to live in you.

The best self denial is to hand over your human will each morning and ask only to live in God’s Holy Will.

If you find yourself acting outside His Will, stop and start again.

Jesus fell carrying His Cross, we will fall many times carrying ours to our crucifixion. The death of self is the victory of Christ. The important thing is to get up again, and take up that cross again.

“It is no longer I that lives, but Christ who lives in me”

Deny yourself, take up the cross The Father has given you for your good, and follow Jesus.

Meditate on Jesus Passion because our passion imitates His Passion, our cross is the suffering we need to imitate Christ and crucify self.

Dear Cathode,

He was saying, it was for the apostles do those miracles like casting out the devils. Not for us, as Paul said signs for Jews, and faith for Gentiles.

Oh yes, we must pray for them in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ (not saints or Mary...)

No, Jesus did not fall with the cross, except give verse? I think I seen this not jesus falling with cross in a Catholic version.

Nothing wrong with taking up our cross, but note not for salvation.

Oh here we go again…another big mouth Christian…trying to save those poor unfortunates by your love and concern eh! There isn’t anything funnier than a big mouth Christian…and more murderus and greedy. Just quote the Bible to them and you can get away with anything :Laugh

This is the kind of sneering and mocking reply atheists give me when I’m talking about Jesus Love and Mercy.

“If anyone says"I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen.”

We can not hate these people, or worse be indifferent to them.

At the very least praying for them shows that you love your neighbour and this demonstrates your love for God.

Bunker Christianity says it’s saved and to hell with everyone else. It spends its time sneering and judging others. Their light has gone out. They are part of the problem.

“Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold”

If we aren’t even doing the minimum of praying for these people, then our light has gone out, we aren’t loving others.

“ Love your enemies and pray for those that persecute you. “

It was these kinds of prayers that converted Saul the persecutor, into Paul the Apostle.

Anyone who is in the spirit is already saved and doesn’t need you or your proselytizing Catholics to attempt the business of regeneration already accomplished by the Holy Spirit. Again you are using works to just annoy the children of God. It’s no wonder Christ says, “I never knew you.”

Taking up the cross is a recognition of the suffering and sacrifice of our lord and an emulation of that sacrifice. But it doesn’t signify any salvation without the gift of grace bestowed on the Children of God in regeneration by the HS.

You need to at least pray for these people.
Most certainly Christians should pray for those in apostate denominations, but not for the denominations themselves. There are no denominations in the Bible, and we should be praying that those within them should come out. Recently, I encouraged the members of a church in an English denomination to come out. They have gone from strength to strength as an independent congregation.
Apostasy rarely, in my experience, comes in through the pew. Sometimes it comes via the pulpit and, more often, through the denomination.

Your understanding of salvation is wrong, salvation is a process.

We are saved incidentally by loving and saving others, not by the easy salvation some preach.

The only way Protestantism resolves theological disputes is to split even more. That’s the problem.

I’m not a Protestant…nor am I an apostate Catholic. So don’t bother me with this crap.
