With some lawmakers predicting a sweeping executive order on immigration from President Barack Obama after the Nov. 4 elections, one federal agency is already making plans to hire a vendor to crank out up to 34 million blank green cards to accommodate an expected surge in immigrants in 2016.

Well, that means the US has sent a purchase order to a government contractor to print 34 million green cards for the plan with how to deal with illegal immigrants, right?

Or maybe it means that the US has sent a purchase order to print 34 million green cards for Obama's illegal plan, an executive order he intends to declare dealing with immigrants.

Well, not really. If you read the article it says that a draft proposal, or a call for proposal to vendors has been written to see who wants to bid on the contract to supply 4 million cards for 5 years, just in case there is an executive order declared that would legalize illegal immigrants.

If you continue reading the article you get this statement, out of thin air:

One estimate suggests 34 million cards will be printed in total.

But if you keep on reading the "article" you see this:

An official from the government agency told MailOnline on Monday a plan was developed "in case the president makes the move we think he will," even though the agency's Document Management Division isn't yet committing to buying the materials.

Another official cautioned the plan was only a "contingency" in case immigration reform legislation passes in Congress, stressing it wasn't in anticipation of an Obama executive order.


Ahhh...so the US has not ordered any green cards, much less 34 million green cards. There is a contingency call out to vendors to possibly print 4 million cards per year should an immigration reform bill be passed.

This is why you should not get your news from NewsMax. They are just a lousy source for news.

Officials have sent out a proposal for a contract. They are looking for vendors IN CASE there is a change in the immigration policies. They have NOT ordered any green card as article alleges.

(And I guess answering a yes or no question is beyond your abilities.)

It's no different if a business was expecting landing Wal Mart as a customer. They would be seeking vendors to produce packaging for their products (for example). JUST IN CASE they get the order from Wal Mart they want to be ready to rock and roll. But, no, no packages have been ordered.

In this case, no green cards have been ordered.

So they are preparing to put out bids for 20 million and the number may go as high as 34 million. What's with all the quibbling?

The point is they are getting ready for Obama's illegal executive amnesty.

The article should have said, "Immigration Service Putting Out Bids for Millions of Green Cards" NOT "34 Million Green Cards Ordered"
