The article should have said, "Immigration Service Putting Out Bids for Millions of Green Cards" NOT "34 Million Green Cards Ordered"

Or getting ready for a new immigration law.

Don't go down the rabbit hole man. There is nothing in there that is worth it. Believe me. You know what he is going to say before he even posts it.

That won't happen. Obama has killed any chance for a legislative solution.

On purpose, I believe.

Obama has said he will wait until after the election to take action on immigration. The Reps will retain the House. It is becoming more likely that they will have a majority, but not a filibuster proof majority, in the Senate. Don't you think if he attempts to legalize 10 million illegal immigrants by executive order he will be impeached? And the Supreme Court would belay his executive order?

Write to Newsmax and stop quibbling with our members.

The information in the article, as far as I can tell, was 100% accurate, making it a valid news source, regardless of the title. And personally I believe, when we post a news article in the news section, we should use the exact title the source does. You have no cause to complain about the title to the member.

The thing to do is state your objection to the title and then make your comments. I've seen you carry on for several pages about a title without ever commenting on the content of the story. Quibbling.

Do you have a comment about this story, except that you don't like the title?
If not, you objection is noted and you are excused.:wavey:

No. He is unimpeachable.

Congress will have to take him to court. The question is, how much damage can he do while we are waiting for it to reach scotus?

I'll ask you the same thing I asked Salty:

So people can post falsehoods with impunity?

I believe the term is "clickbait".

I guess you didn't read post #2 in this thread.

The story was not false and you had to read it to find out the title was not 100% accurate. So you go after the title.

If you think a title is misleading, you could just skip the story and certainly not carry on for page after page about the title. Or you could state your objections and go on to comment on the story itself.

Most adults would.

Did you find anything that you are sure is false in the story?

I gave In the Light the benefit of the doubt to interact but....my bad! Thanks Carpro! :)

Yeah, what a terrible pet peeve to have...insisting on integrity and honesty.

Considering the OP used the actual title of the news story and then said that the government was making plans to purchase the green cards, not sure how anyone can say the OP was being dishonest.

With some lawmakers predicting a sweeping executive order on immigration from President Barack Obama after the Nov. 4 elections, one federal agency is already making plans to hire a vendor to crank out up to 34 million blank green cards to accommodate an expected surge in immigrants in 2016.

Yeah, what a terrible pet peeve to have...insisting on integrity and honesty.

That is not what he is doing. Actually he just nitpicks irrelevant things to derail threads because he does not like the content of what is being posted. He in fact he never really deal with the substance of the posts.

For example, he nit picked an article because it contained quotes from two different sources. And I say so what. get a life. What he did not do and cannot do is prove the quotes to be falacious.

So they are preparing to put out bids for 20 million and the number may go as high as 34 million. What's with all the quibbling?

The point is they are getting ready for Obama's illegal executive amnesty.

And they are preparing to order twice as many as there are illegal aliens in the country. I wonder why????

Could it be that Obama will be the POTUS that opens the borders to the north and south, declaring this continent, the America's?

Amnesty would be a gigantic step toward fulfilling that plan. A plan to make America part of the Americas. A nation of people without borders? I tend to think we are very close to pulling it off!

Repeating a lie is just as bad as making the lie up to begin with.

Oh, get off your high horse. In 3 days, that'll be the only number you hear anywhere.

Then you're going to have to explain away the other news sources that are using the same number. (8 of them at my last count)

Kinda funny, really, to watch you make such a big deal over such a trivial matter.

I applaud the original poster for obeying the law.:applause:
