Does this really have any connection to the 'old' USFL? For instance, who owns the New Jersey Generals?

No. The only spring football I care the least bit about is college football spring practice for the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Will I watch? Depends on if they are woke like the NFL.

I sure hope they are woke like the NFL.

Hard to imagine running around on a football field while sleep walking...or sleep running in this case. :D

I flew home from Germany in 1983, on a MAC flight - when we landed, at Ft Dix, McQuire AFB (our stop was Charleston, SC) they turned on the TV set to the Foodball game - and it was the NY Generals playing!

Close enough for Govt work!

From Wiki:
They initially had an uphill battle to get a lease at Giants Stadium, but were able to obtain one on condition that they brand their team as "New Jersey" rather than "New York." They named the team the "Generals" after the large number of generals based in New Jersey during the Revolutionary War.[2]
