Melchizedeck: Jesus, Mary, and Joseph were immigrants.
Church Mouse Guy: Where do you get those ideas?

If you do not know that Jesus, Mary and Joseph were immigrants, you ought to spend more time reading your bible instead of posting here.
Of course he knows, and implying otherwise is uncharitable. They fled to Egypt, where they might have been regarded as immigrants (even though still within Roman hegemony), but their return to the land of their birth was not immigration.

NY has passed a law which will take effect this coming public School year (Sep 2019)

All students must be vaccinated against measles, among other shots.

Religious exemptions will NOT be granted - under any circumstance.

Open for discussion
The Communist state of NY strikes again.

Soros talking points don't include exact Bible references because the Bible reference is a communist lie.

They were immigrants and they weren't citizens. Egypt and Judea were client kingdoms, but traveling from one to the other was not like going from Georgia to Alabama.

The Gospel is such an interesting revelation of humanity and God. The religious authorities killed Jesus. They couldn't see God right in front of them. We can't see Jesus in the refugees despite knowing Jesus was a refugee. Despite Jesus saying, when you will be judged, I am going to judge you for when you did not see me in them!! At least the leaders struggled to imagine God walking among them as Jesus. We Christians know, we KNOW, that Jesus walks among us in all the refugees.

As Jesus didn't say in the Sermon of The Trump, blessed are those that profit from the meek. Blessed are those that steal, for theirs is the Kingdom of Money. Blessed are those that profit and pay no taxes, for they shall sayeth, I pay no taxes as I am smart. The more you giveth to the rich, the more it trickleth down to the poor.

It's sad how many Christians believe that greed is a virtue and money is a sign of God's blessing. Communism was evil, but corporations have spent untold amounts of money figuring out just how to get Christians to worship Mammon by convincing them the only other option is being a communist.

Soros is not a Christian.

Jesus was not a refugee because He still was in the Roman Empire.

Jesus, Joseph and Mary may have been immigrants to Egypt, and were certainly refugees, but they were not immigrants as they returned to their homeland. If, after living in the US all my life, I'd done graduate studies for a couple years in Europe, then came back to live in the state where I'd been born and raised, would I then be an immigrant to the US? Of course not. Some things posted above and earlier about Roman citizenship in relation to immigrant status could lead to the conclusion that every person within Roman hegemony but not a citizen was an immigrant, even if they had lived their entire life in the house where they had been born.

The above merely tries to logically address immigrant status. It does not claim to address our responsibilities toward immigrants, responsibilities as individuals and as a nation. (I see those responsibilities as not being identical.)

He has been told that over and over and still is convinced Jesus was a refugee. He'll just ignore anything I post or link to but he's wrong on the idea that vaccinations aren't drugs, they are a subclass of drugs according to the FDA:

FDA Approved Drugs in Vaccines | CenterWatch

And, complaining about Christians being greedy as he's defending BIG PHARMA.

Vaccines are not drugs.

The link you quoted states Drugs in Vaccines.

I am against "big pharma" for the opioid epidemic they created and for unjustifiable drug costs for consumers.

How does that relate to my post?

You are posting Soros notions about Christianity, to be precise cultural marxism. Soros is a communist. These points of yours are decades old. J.D. Greear might believe you but most won't so you are wasting your time by posting cultural marxism. Try the Episcopalians.

Well, you should have read more than just the headline because you are WRONG:

Drug
A drug is defined as:

  • A substance recognized by an official pharmacopoeia or formulary.
  • A substance intended for use in the diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of disease.
  • A substance (other than food) intended to affect the structure or any function of the body.
  • A substance intended for use as a component of a medicine but not a device or a component, part or accessory of a device.
  • Biological products are included within this definition and are generally covered by the same laws and regulations, but differences exist regarding their manufacturing processes (chemical process versus biological process.)

I don't care about George Soros. I am writing about basic Christian beliefs you can read about in the bible.

Marxism is a political philosophy, not a culture. Karl Marx was an idiot who ranted against the wealthy while not working.

So far you have refused to say exactly what Scripture you have in mind. You are posting liberal theology, aka cultural marxism.

The Second Person of the Trinity created the universe. The Word was made flesh.

Jesus took refuge from one client kingdom to another.
Was he documented? No.
Was he a citizen? No.

Your point of view is daft. You have failed to establish that The Holy Family did anything illegal or there was documentation in ancient Rome or that it was important that Rome did not extend citizenship to conquered nations. Both Israel and Egypt were provinces and there is no evidence from you that Roman subjects could not go from province to province. Actually, The Holy Family stayed only a short time in the pit called Egypt and it fulfilled prophecy Hosea 11:1. Furthermore, they had money and were self sufficient. Luke says that Jesus was raised in Nazareth Luke 4:16. The trip to Egypt was merely to wait for Herod to die.
