Watching the Kavanaugh hearings

No. Making a pledge to block everything President Obama tried to accomplish was an outrage. This included their unconstitutional decision to not give his Supreme Court nominee a hearing. The democrats are pushing back against the do-nothing Republican Congress.

Unconstitutional decision? There is nothing unconstitutional about it, no time limit is mentioned in the Constitution. The decision when to hold hearings belongs to the side which holds the majority in the senate. Besides, Mitch McConnel was only following the "Biden" rule.

Parkland victim father and Kavanaugh the handshake that was not
Parkland victim's father and Kavanaugh: The handshake that wasn't

The father of a student killed in the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting earlier this year attempted to shake the hand of Brett Kavanaugh during the judge's first day of Senate confirmation hearings to the U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday.

"Just walked up to Judge Kavanaugh as morning session ended. Put out my hand to introduce myself as Jaime Guttenberg's dad. He pulled his hand back, turned his back to me and walked away," Fred Guttenberg tweeted. "I guess he did not want to deal with the reality of gun violence."

This was just another Democrat stunt, made possible by the Senator from California Diane Feinstein. He posted that he was going to "do something" beforehand on the internet. I'm sorry his daughter got killed, but that does not give him some kind of special status to expect a handshake or a personal meeting from a Judge at a Senate confirmation hearing. The soon to be Supreme Court Justice Cavanaugh will make any of his rulings based on the U.S. Constitution, not emotion.

Biden backed off from his original position. Accepting your logic we should wait until after the mid-term elections to vote on Trump's Supreme Court nominee. That would be only a couple of months. A replacement for Justice Scalia wasn't put in place for one year leaving the court split.

Trump didn't give these people an appropriate hearing either. His recommendation was to arm the teachers which was quickly rejected as causing more harm than good.

Dianne Feinstein and the Democrats want to make the whole country a "gun free zone killing field."

They applaud the violent murder of 650,000 babies every year, why should they care about a few school kids.

Yes, some of their women are now wearing T-shirt heralding the fact that they had an abortion.

How about one - I shot my Grandmother!.

Almost everyone else here fit it better than me. After all, you support an insane president without the ability or background to be the leader of the free world. He also has no morals but you think he's a great Christian.
So you do not support the voters having the right to choice their leaders, if they vote for someone you do not like?

that was a set up job, as are all of theose protestors, as the Dems have been trying their hardest to divert the truth that he will be voted in onto the SC!
Put your self in his shoes, as have a bunch of paid malcontents of the Dems shouting all of the time, and now someone moves towards you all of a sudden?

Exactly. I've watched the clip several times, unfortunately without usable sound, so I can't say what Mr. Guttenberg said or whether there was any chance Judge Kavanaugh could hear/understand it in the hubbub. It seemed like less than 2 seconds between Mr. G's approach and the security guy intervening. This wasn't a political campaign whistle stop where handshakes are the order of the day. The fact that Mr. G quickly tweeted:
"I guess he did not want to deal with the reality of gun violence."
produces a strong aroma of political stunt-ism. I hope his motives were more honest than that.

He just makes up things as they go along. Here it is easy watch:

The brown cow tipped the purple girraff in the hot summer of December.

See, its easy and at least what I made up is much closer to the truth than most of what he posts.

He didn't seem to be violent or a vocal protester to me. How do you know the others were paid? Just a bias I suppose.

I don't know how the good Judge could sit there and listen to all those blabbering and sanctimious politicians, especially the Democrat ones. Leahy from Vermont is barely able to spit out his words, Booker from N.J. is the big drama queen, Harris from Ca. has got to be one of the dumbest ones there, Sheldon Whitehouse is as ptitful as ever, Feinstein is another dumb one trick pony (guns) and on and on it went.
