We are currently in the tribulation and Trump is the beast?

Open air preaching in DT Denver and was rejected. However one person was listening. Since I preached a little on the rapture and coming return of Christ he approached me said that we are presently in the tribulation and Trump is the beast of Revelation. What view holds that we are presently in the tribulation?

Amillennialism holds that the Church will go through a short period of more extreme persecution just before the Return of Christ. A couple of years ago I heard a well-known British preacher wonder aloud if we were possibly approaching that time, but that was definitely pre-Trump.

So this person was a amillennialist?

Trump the beast? Did he at least make some effort to show how Trump=666?

Dispensational theology brings out the crazy in people. Maybe I'm getting cause-and-effect backwards.

That's an odd story with odd timing because when I was Pentecostal/Charismatic two weeks ago I had considered that very possibility a number of times.

I wondered if Donald Trump could be given enormous miraculous power by Satan in order to fool the world into thinking he was God. This would be soon followed by the False Prophet showing up and the Image set up in the temple, and the subjugation of Israel to allow this, the End Times wars (there seem to be several as far as I can tell from Daniel), and the invasion of Libya and a number of other nations talked of in Daniel, and all the rest of the End Times.

From a cult-like occultist Pentecostal/Charismatic viewpoint this is an easy one. Of course, it's viable. It's viable in so much that we are on the cusp of the Return of Jesus Christ in their thinking, which means the End Days may start under the Trump Administration, it is viable because Donald Trump and his movement are revolutionary in American history let alone for these latter days in "End Times history," it is viable because President Trump in a number of ways seems to hold onto sins unbecoming of a Believer and which therefore put the true heartfelt sincerity of his faith in doubt, and it is viable because president Trump seems like a one man cult of personality, which is one characteristic that the bible provides of the Beast and his dominion.

I would ask that person who said Trump is the Beast two questions. If he is the Beast, then why hasn't he directed people to believe he is God? Also where are the counterfeit signs and wonders to fool even the elect, if that were possible, to go along with this claim of Deity by the Beast?

Ironcast - I am very serious about that.

It's funny that someone would be messin with him about this; it wouldn't be beyond me to pull someone's leg in this manner if I knew they were susceptible to such fairy tales.

(lol, 'Ironcast', he can be pretty hardheaded sometimes :) )

When the wind is right, you might be able to see a couple of sixes in that comb-over, but then he'd have the terrible burden of being followed on foot by thousands of, shall we say, non-Protestants, with their cameras and children. Facebook would implode.
