Actually you have a revolutionary idea there. Bullet control makes a lot more sense than gun control.BTW, I'm not suggesting a ban on guns or on these things. I'm wondering if limiting the number of bullets a cartridge could hold would be a good idea.
Does anyone remember what old whatshisname used to kill 68 people in oklahoma city? Was it a high capacity magazine?
Let's be real. Can anyone kill 28 people in less than 5 minutes with any of these 'weapons'.
Don't forget to include in your national discussion on banning hammers the following. Why talk about just one, when we should actually consider all of them?
Rocks, bricks, concrete blocks
Kitchen knives, hunting knives, pocket knives
Tree limbs
2x4 lumber (all size that can kill, too.
Ice picks
Tire irons
Axes, chain saws
Baseball bats, hocky sticks
Frying pans
Scissors
Pitch forks, garden hoes
Rat poison
Acids with concentrations high enough to kill
Matches, lighters, flint & steel, (anything that can generate a flame)
Rope, wire, telephone cords
Electric radios and anything else that can be dropped into a bathtub
Forks & spoons as they can be made into knives
Glass as it can be broken into shards
Human hands as they can kill without any of the above.
If he had killed one person instead of 28, would we still be talking about banning guns?

How about President Obama start with a ban in his hometown of Chicago and see how much that affects the DAILY shootings and killings.
Of course not. Now please list the number of times that an explosive laden truck has been used to kill American citizens. Then tell me which is more easily accomplished--shooting a semi-auto gun into a crowd of people or meticulously gathering components over the stretch of months to construct a truck bomb?
Why the negative comment about Obama? It is the mindset you have posted for the last six months that allowed him to be reelected. On top of that, how many did you tell they were headed to hell for voting for Romney? If he had killed one person instead of 28, would we still be talking about banning guns?

And you miss the point again.
But we don't have a rash of truck bomb killings going on in the U.S.
and if we get rid of any guns we will. My point is the guns automatic or otherwise is not the issue. it will happen with or without them.
You really think if access to guns were restricted that wackos would turn to truck bombs to pull off their evil deeds.
OK, so let's just live with four to six mass murdering sprees a year committed with guns and not do a thing. :tear:

Some truths we conveniently forget:
Guns themselves are not the evil here.
Passing laws only stops honest people- just like locks.
If some one is sick enough to kill, they will find a way.
Thousands more are killed each year by other means but no one wants to outlaw those means.
Public hysteria is a lousy reason for enacting new legislation. There should be a "cooling off period" for discussing and enacting new laws during times such as these.
Ronald Reagen was shot with a revolver. John Lennon and Harvey Milk were each killed with a revolver.
JFK was assassinated with a bolt-action rifle.
The sidearm of the American military--those not lucky enough to be issued a Colt 1911 .45--was the .38 revolver.
Banning semi-auto weapons won't be enough. Banning "military style" weapons won't be enough.
Reagen said, "Peace through strength." Give it some thought.
This is all true. Now I'd like to see a list of more than 10 people that were killed at one time with a revolver or bolt-action rifle.
