Many pastors preach a full message on the Wed night service.
When I grew up - (of course back then, we also had Sun night svc)
but on Wed, the pastor would give a 10-15 devotion - then the remained of the service was spent in prayer.
In addition, we would split in men, women, teens and children.
Our church would call our Wed svc: "THE HOUR OF POWER"
In addition, once a month - our emphasis on Wed was missions.

So how about your church - it is a full preaching service, bible study, prayer or other.

My independent “baptistic” church has a Wednesday night Bible study / prayer meeting led by the pastor. Half hour teaching, then half hour praying.

About 200 attend Sunday morning service. Only about 12 show up for the Wednesday night meeting, which is ridiculous.

We also have a small group meeting at several homes. It happens every other Sunday at 4:30 pm. I attend the one at the pastor’s house. About 12 show up for it.

Our Thursday service is a prayer meeting, starting with a short Bible study. On the first Thursday of each month we make it a missionary-focused prayer meeting (not that we don't pray for missionary work at other times too, but the first Thursday has that as its particular emphasis.)
