Once again a Calvinist asks a question which implies I hold unbiblical views. These folks have no regard for truth.
The wine at Cana appeared to have existed as grape juice, which had grown on vines, and slowly ripened day after day in the sun.

Did I say God did not create things with apparent age. Nope.
Did I say everything we find that indicates great age is actually young? Nope

See post #16? I never attacked the idea that God did not create some things with apparent age!!!!

Why your falsehoods are allowed by leadership is beyond me.

If there is a problem
a) send a pm
b) - hit "report"
no need to put this on the open page.

and I do not see how Calvin gets involved with Creation

@Van I am seriously starting to wonder about your mental competance. In post 14 you clearly attacked the idea that anything was created with age. UNLESS you were being sarcastic. But since you have yet to answer my question about Adam being created as a baby I really do not know what to think.

You would do A LOT better to just answer questions instead of attacking people who happen to fall on the other end of the soteriological spectrum than you.
I believe Adam was created as an adult, as there'd be no one to care for a baby. And so was Eve. I'd say God told A&E how to care for babies when Cain was born.

In order to push the godless theory of Evolution, so called scientists point to as old a date as conceivable for dating fossils. However, the Tar Pits (Asphalt) probably trapped animals and plants dating from the last ice age, or less than 12,000 years ago.
Are you sure of this? Many believe the last ice age to be the end result of the flood.. There would be massive global cooling with a whole earth flood. Part of the earths thermostat is the polar ice.. As the ice melts, we get more water. Due to this the earth cools. and we get more ice. which lowers the water level. more land warmer earth.

Am I sure evolutionists choose the oldest date possible? I am sure. For example Time magazine had a cover story that Eve had lived about 25,000 years ago. But in less than two years, that date was moved to 200,000 years ago.

Am I sure when the last Ice age covering California occurred? No. I was just pointing out that some scientists believe it occurred less than 12,000 years ago, but you will see stories that the Tar Pit shows animals living 40,000 years ago. Highly unlikely if the area was covered in ice.

Then explain post 12 Van. You aren't making any sense.

Why did you dodge the question? If God did not create things with apparent age, do you hold to Adam being created as a baby? It's a simple yes or no.

How big were the trees in the garden? How many growth rings did they have?

And God saith, 'Let the earth yield tender grass, herb sowing seed, fruit-tree (whose seed in itself) making fruit after its kind, on the earth:' and it is so.

I believe God created Adam and took the woman from him at a stage of reproduction. 360 days after creation Adam was 1 year old.
Not totally convinced the virgin woman take from Adam wasn't with child.

And Man knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bore Cain, and said, I have acquired a man with Jehovah.

who said they had any?

How many trees survive a major tsunami? How many survived Mount St Helen's and the water which came from ice melt?

So ask yourself this. How many trees would survive a global flood? and even if they did survive would they not be nuried under layers of sediment?

can you explain further. this does not make sense..

thank you

What about Job 40 and Psalm 74:14, the Leviathan?
dinosaurs were Not on the ark.. which possible or DID lead to their extinction... Now... in rgards to Job... we can believe one of two possibilities.. either Job.. lived before the flood... as the exact date Job lived has not been definitely ascertained... or the Leviathan.. refered to in Job.. was a sea creature (monster)... and hence would still be alive at a time after the Ark... remember not every creature was destroyed.. only air breathing ones....

Dinosaurs were extinct by the time of Noah. Dinosaurs were extinct well before God created man, as far as I know.
if you believe that dinosaurs were on earth before man then you must believe in the gap theory.. which is a farce.. you would have to believe that death was on God's world before satan got here.. or that satan fell to the earth from Isaiah 40.. and was responsible for the death of the dinosaurs... then God recreated everything again while satan was lurking about to destroy God's creation a second time..thru sin...

So, were there dinosaurs on the ark?
If so - how can they get on since they were so big

If they were on the ark - why do we not have dinosaurs today?
I believe that no dinosaurs were on the ark and all air breathing ones died at the time of the flood.. so either a).. Job lived before the flood.. or b) the leviathan was not an air breathing dinosaur...

there are beliefs which a former pastor of mine preached that the wine of Jesus' day was Not the same wine that we know of today....pastor used to teach that the wine of Jesus' day was fermented or aged... and yes.. Jesus could very well have created it in that state...

I am a Calvinist... but I resent implications that we Calvanists ask stupid questions... non Calvinists can seem ignorant at times as well.. AND which of the 5 points of Calvinism do you disagree with?.

there are a lot of false teachings out there today.. maybe some have some truth I don't know.. I've read things such as Cain and Abel were born as twins... Adam had another wife... Lilith..Eve gave birth to babies before the fall..etc.... perhaps this is just another strange belief.. that Adam was born as a baby.. and Eve was his mother?.. I don't know....

it could be that there actually was No Ice Age... only a period of time when the Earth's climate was below normal... so many things are placed in the hands of scientists who trust in carbon dating.. which tells them earth is millions of years old... but their devices could be flawed they are man-made.... how do we know for sure....?.. I would believe the dates of the bible over man's dating.. and NO I do not believe in the gap theory... so I am out on agreeing to an Ice Age or a million year earth...etc...

as far as Eve stating .....acquiring a man with Jehovah?. many bibles state by Jehovah.. or with the help of Jehovah... we have to realize... if we believe Cain was the first born... Eve perhaps did not understand reproduction... and perhaps in her mind.. thought that God... miraculously gave her a baby.. or allowed her to birth one... Eve was naive to the fact that her and Adam coming together in the relationship caused this birth... she probably realized it though..... after she witnessed the kind of child Cain turned out to be.. that the Lord.. does Not bless people with a curse...!..

One question that arises is when did the "Flood" occur? I think the biblical answer is less than 7000 years ago. But certainly "dinosaur like" animals (gators and other large reptiles) existed less than 7000 years ago, so at least "prototypes" were on the Ark.
